Reader Wedding Invitations

Jon and Erin sent me their wedding invitations and I just had to share! I love the cute illustration on the front of them. Jon is an illustrator and designed the invites himself. Envelope and card stock was from Paper Source. He did the printing at Kinkos except for the direction card which was done on their inkjet. The postcards were printed at Vista Print. Also, a fun fact he shared with me, “Erin wanted to send one to the Obamas, because apparently the president will send you a congratulatory card.” I had no idea about that! Thanks for sharing and congrats on the upcoming wedding!

Introducing The B-List!

b-list

This past weekend, I had the pleasure to attend the first-ever wedding blogger conference, the B List, organized by Vané of Brooklyn Bride and Anne of From I Will to I Do. It was a quick weekend trip for me out to Brooklyn, but I’m so glad I made the trip! It was so fun to meet all the other fabulous ladies behind some of my favorite blogs. These bloggers included:

Kristina from 100 Layer Cake
Liene from Blue Orchid Designs™
Vané from Brooklyn Bride
Ami + Rebekah from Elizabeth Anne Designs
Nole from Oh So Beautiful Paper
Luzel from iDiY
Emily from Once Wed Blog
Anne from Perfect Bound
Kelly from Santa Barbara Wedding Chic
Janice from The Bridal Wishlist
Janie from The Bride’s Cafe
Courtney from The Little White Book
Amanda from Vintage Glam Weddings
Bee from Weddingbee
Christy from What Junebug Loves!
Darci from With This Ring
Maria from {ritzy bee blog}

We started the day at Galapagos art space – which is an amazing space! We talked about the wedding blogging community, tips to help each other, and other issues we saw as a group. I learned a lot and I know we could have talked all day! Then we had a yummy lunch catered by Sterling Affair, and there was even a beautiful wedding cake by Mark Joseph Cakes.

After lunch, Vané and Anne had organized a fabulous vendor meet and greet. I had a great time talking with some of my favorite vendors and meeting lots of new ones. The photo below is Rebekah from Elizabeth Anne Designs, Me, and Kristina from 100 Layer Cake! We had so much to talk about!! The beautiful flowers were by by Seaport Flowers.

Daffodils + Succulents

I’ve been a huge fan of Noa from Featherlove Photography in San Diego for awhile now. She photographed a reception this weekend with beautiful succulents paired with daffodils! Love LOVE this combo. Her photos are pure beauty. I want to hang them on my walls! The reception was at Social Hollywood and was coordinated by Michelle from Mint Julep, the stunning florals were designed by Brent Wang of Eggs, Los Angeles and the DJ was none other than my favorite DJ – Michael Antonia (The Flash Dance). The beautiful cake was by Sweet Gems.

Ok, yes this is from Heidi and Spencer’s Wedding (The Hills), but I’ve chosen not to show any photos of them since I’m not huge fans of them – just jealous of the vendors they had! If you’d like to see more photos of them and learn why the talented Noa got kicked out of the reception, go to Noa’s Blog for some fun stories. Thanks so much for the heads up Noa and Michael! It sure sounds like an adventure…
