Blank Canvas For Color: An All-White, Minimalist Wedding Editorial

A blank canvas is the definition of creative potential, and keeping a wedding’s design cleanly + minimalistically white means that pops of color can pack a major punch. And this dreamy UK-based wedding shoot from photographer Sam Sparks is proof!

“I have a love for minimalism at heart,” says Sam, “and I always had my eyes on FiveFourStudios in Manchester city centre.” The white warehouse-style studio was the perfect space for the way that event designer Stories Of Events brought this experiment in minimalism and color to life.

“I love the inspiration it gives couples to pick a venue that seems simple but really focus on what is important to them,” Sam says. “It doesn’t have to be the florals—it could be filled with big stationery, bright table cloths, so many options!”

Crisp white linens kept things simple. Florals stole the show. And all-white wedding day fashion embraced so many different styles.

Sam put it best, and we totally agree: “It’s just so bloody unique and exciting!”

This delicate, modern pastel invitation suite by Abbie Worton Designs embraced the floral design’s romantic color palette. We LOVE the texture that the raw-edge dusty rose ribbon adds.

A Beautiful Blank Canvas

We are completely enchanted by these dreamlike white textiles and saturated, summer-tone florals.

All of the diverse + textured floral arrangements that Emma Cox Floristry created for the shoot were beyond impactful against this stark white setup.

Love the subtle depth that place settings made up of khaki napkins and white handle metallic gold flatware added to the tablescape.

Light beige taper candles created the perfect amount of neutral glow.

This BREATHTAKING embroidered floral wedding dress from Rue de Siene 😍 Obsessed with the way the dress’s flowers matched with the table’s floral color palette!

Of course there was a floral wedding veil! This embroidered beauty was created by Jean Jackson Couture

…and perfectly paired with this dusty pink satin bow from Little Fashion Finds! Bows are one of our favorite wedding trends to watch. Pairing a bow with a veil?? Best of both worlds!

All-White + Etheral

So into this dreamy + drapey ruffled second look from Rue de Seine.

That dramatic statement ruffle hem veil? Another masterpiece by Jean Jackson Couture.

Once again, we are here for a bow/veil combo. This chic + shiny ivory satin bow came from Little Fashion Finds as well.

A Chic + Short Look

Jean Jackson Couture did it again, folks! This short wedding dress was flirty, timeless perfection. Especially paired with those blue frame bridal sunglasses 😎

Loving the cascading ribbon details on this three tier ivory wedding cake from Natalie Cake Studio.

Jean Jackson Couture continued to raise the bar, wedding accessory-wise—this time with a fabulous feathery bridal hat!!

A round of applause for Nala & Knot and the hair + makeup geniuses behind all of the diverse bridal styling this shoot called for. Very into this french twist wedding updo.

It also needs to be mentioned: the groom’s two-tone light neutral wedding suit was the picture of airy sophistication.

These elbow-length feather detail bridal gloves completed this chic silhouette.

So very glad that Sam Sparks brought this visionary minimalist shoot to life! We can’t wait to see the all-white wedding aesthetics and colorful floral choices it inspires!
