We’ve recently updated our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service to improve transparency and communicate your control over your data.

  • Transparency: We want you to understand the type of data we collect, where it’s stored, and how it’s safeguarded.
  • Control: Your data is your data. We’ve always treated it respectfully. You can opt-in or out of certain data uses, correct inaccurate information, delete your data, and if you’re a vendor with a Green Wedding Shoes profile, delete your account at any time.

This Privacy Policy discloses how Green Wedding Shoes, LLC (“GWS,” “we,” or “us”) collects, uses, and shares data through greenweddingshoes.com, our email newsletters, social media channels, and other products or digital services we own or operate (collectively, the “GWS Services”). For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, references to ‘Green Wedding Shoes’ include any websites or digital properties under our control, including greenweddingshoes.com.

The GWS Services may contain links to other websites for your convenience. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites.

1. Information We Collect

What information do we gather about you?

The information gathered when you interact with GWS Services falls into two categories:

  1. Personal information: This includes personal information you supply when you subscribe, order, complete a survey, enter a contest, create a vendor profile, submit content for editorial consideration or provide your email address
  2. Non-personal information: This information is collected through technology, including tracking information collected by us and third parties.

2. Personal Information You Provide

Billing & Credit Card Information

When you pay for GWS Services, we may collect names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and credit card details. We share this data only with third parties who assist in completing the transaction (e.g., payment processors). Newsletter signups and subscriber emails are processed by Kit (formerly ConvertKit), our email service provider.

Email Addresses

We collect your email address only if you voluntarily provide it (e.g., signing up for newsletters or promotions). We use it for the purpose you provided (e.g., sending newsletters or offers). You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in our emails.

•EU/EEA Residents: If you reside in the European Economic Area (EEA), we do not wish to receive your email. If provided inadvertently, we will delete it.

User-Generated Content & Public Activities

We offer opportunities for “public activities” (e.g., comments, editorial submissions). Anything you share in these public areas (e.g., your screen name, photos) becomes public and may be used by GWS for online/offline promotional or commercial uses. We are not responsible for personal information you make public.

  • Your public activities may appear on other sites or social networks. Sharing on third-party platforms is governed by their privacy policies.

Contests, Sweepstakes & Special Offers

When you participate in GWS-run sweepstakes, contests, or special offers, we collect personal information. If a third party (other than GWS) also collects it, we’ll notify you. If you prefer not to share personal details, do not participate in these promotions.

Reader Surveys & Panels

We may collect personal info via voluntary surveys, either online, by phone, or mail. The information you provide may be shared in aggregate with advertisers or partners, unless otherwise stated at collection.

3. Non-Personal Information Collected Using Technology

Device Information

We may collect non-personal data about your computer or device (e.g., IP address, browser type, geolocation) to track usage and enhance the GWS Services.

Cookies, Beacons & Similar Technologies

We use cookies, web beacons, tags, and local storage objects (like HTML5) to manage access, enable personalization, and track usage.

  • Cookie Acceptance: Certain site features may not be available if you do not accept cookies.
  • Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control (GPC): We do not respond to legacy “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals, but we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals for users in jurisdictions that require it (such as California). When we receive a valid GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the “sale or sharing” of personal information for the device and browser that sent the signal.

Analytics & Log Files

We (and our third-party partners) log IP addresses, browser types, operating systems, and device info to improve services, market, and analyze site usage.

Location Information

Ads on greenweddingshoes.com may be targeted by ZIP code or IP address, but not by precise GPS location.

Google Analytics and Google Signals

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors engage with our site and improve content performance. We’ve enabled Google Signals, which provides aggregated insights about how visitors interact across devices.

Google Signals may use information from visitors who are signed in to their Google accounts and have Ads Personalization turned on. These insights are anonymized and aggregated — Green Wedding Shoes does not receive personally identifiable information or link Analytics data to individual users.

We do not currently run Google Ads or use remarketing features, and we have not enabled user-provided data collection or user-ID tracking in Analytics.

You can manage or delete your Google-associated activity anytime through your Google My Activity settings, or opt out of analytics and advertising cookies via our site’s cookie preferences.

Some ads are delivered by third-party companies that may set their own cookies or track device

4. How We Use the Information

Providing Services You Request

We use your data to enable your use of GWS Services (e.g., sending newsletters, processing orders, letting you join polls or paid services).

Statistical Analysis

We perform demographic, marketing, and usage analyses to inform our advertisers and improve our products. This helps us understand purchasing patterns and user interests.

Customizing Your Experience

We may use collected data to target ads and personalize certain features of the GWS Services.

Advertising & Affiliate Links

  • Advertising: CMI Marketing, Inc., d/b/a Raptive (“Raptive”) is a service provider of this Site for the purposes of placing advertising on the Site, and Raptive will collect and use certain data for advertising purposes.   • Advertising and EU/EEA Visitors: Our advertising partner, Raptive, manages ad personalization and consent for visitors in the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA), and United Kingdom (UK) through its own consent system, ensuring compliance with GDPR and related regulations.
  • Affiliate Links: GWS sometimes uses affiliate links. This adds no extra cost to you but helps support our team if you make purchases via those links.

Spam & Fraud Prevention
We use Google reCAPTCHA to protect our signup forms from spam and automated abuse. reCAPTCHA runs on some pages of the site and may collect device and usage information for security and fraud-prevention purposes.

5. With Whom We Share the Information

Within Green Wedding Shoes

We do not sell personal information in exchange for money. However, we allow certain partners — such as our advertising provider, Raptive — to collect information via cookies and similar technologies for advertising and analytics purposes, which may be considered “sharing” of data under California law. California residents can opt out of such sharing as described in this Privacy Policy and in Raptive’s consent tools.

Third Parties & Service Providers

  • We contract with service providers (e.g., payment processors, ad servers, shipping, email distribution) and give them only the info needed to perform their tasks. They can’t use it for their own marketing.
  • We may share your opt-out preferences with third parties to ensure they respect your choices.

Aggregated or De-Identified Data

We share aggregate or de-identified data (e.g., audience statistics) with advertisers or partners. This doesn’t identify you personally.

6. Our Email Policy

Green Wedding Shoes complies with the CAN-SPAM Act. We won’t send marketing messages if you opt out. If you feel you received an email in error, contact privacy@greenweddingshoes.com.

  • Newsletters: Each newsletter has an “unsubscribe” link.
  • Survey Emails: We may invite you to participate in surveys about GWS or prospective products/services. Info collected is generally used in aggregate form.
  • Emails From You: If you email us, we’ll use your address to respond directly.

7. How to Opt Out

To stop receiving email marketing from us, click “unsubscribe” in any email or contact privacy@greenweddingshoes.com. Let us know your email address and the newsletter you wish to stop.

8. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable physical, technical, and administrative safeguards to protect your data. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. Please contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

9. Compliance with Legal Processes

We may access, preserve, and disclose personal information if required by law or if we believe it’s necessary to (1) comply with legal process; (2) protect our rights/property; (3) guard against misuse of GWS Services; or (4) protect the safety of users or the public.

10. Children’s Guidelines

COPPA Compliance

Green Wedding Shoes does not knowingly collect or store personal info from children under 13.

11. International Transfers

Green Wedding Shoes is headquartered in the United States. Your data may be transferred internationally so we can provide the GWS Services. Different countries have different data-protection laws, but by using the Services, you consent to this transfer and processing.

12. Your California Privacy Rights

Under California’s “Shine the Light” law, California residents may opt out of disclosures of personal information for direct marketing. To do so, submit a request in writing to:

13. Changes to This Policy
