The Bride Wore a Blue Floral Dress for This Coastal Cliffside Elopement in Ireland

Dreaming of a destination elopement? Well, you are certainly in the right place.

Corey + Saurabh wanted their wedding to be a celebration of their rich + diverse cultural backgrounds—bride Corey is German and Irish + groom Saurabh is Indian. But the idea of one giant multicultural event didn’t feel quite right to these two. They wanted something much more intimate + adventurous.

The solution? Three smaller celebrations on three different continents! A Bavarian send-off party in the US celebrated Corey’s German roots. A Punjabi wedding in India is coming up in the spring. And this? This is the wild + wonderful elopement where Corey + Saurabh exchanged their intimate “I do’s” surrounded by the spectacular beauty of the Irish coastal countryside.

Corey + Saurabh spent their elopement day braving the winds for their stunning ceremony, sipping whiskey in a local pub, snapping pics along the iconic basalt columns of Giant’s Causeway, and enjoying a gourmet picnic just the two of them in a cozy cabin.

We truly can’t get enough of the breathtaking pictures that Epic Love Photography captured on Corey + Saurabh’s romantic + adventurous day.

Let’s take a look!

Loving the airy blues, deep greens, and blush tones of Corey + Saurabh’s elopement day color palette. The whimsical mushroom paper goods were created by Momental Goods and that traditional Irish quaich glass came from Angels’ Share!

Corey paired her sparkly three stone engagement ring with a traditional Irish claddagh ring in rose gold. Corey + Saurabh both found their wedding rings at Brilliant Earth!

Getting hitched while hiking through the rolling hills of Ireland? A pair of sturdy, monogrammed wedding boots are an absolute must!

We love to see couples getting ready together!! Corey + Saurabh used the super cute + cozy Broadskies Cabin as their home base on elopement day.

Saurabh nodded to his bride’s Irish roots with this slate gray Donegal Tweed Suit and Linen Shirt by Magee 1866 which he paired with a pair of boots from Thursday Boot Co..

Victoriana Floral created whimsical Irish wildflower magic with this lush + organic bridal bouquet. LOVING the bright pops of red.

These two found *the* most breathtaking spot and made it official with the help of an officiant from Irish Elopements.

This textured teal handfast cord by The Bluebell Wood was a beautiful, handmade way to incorporate the Celtic wedding ceremony tradition.

We wanted to embrace the wildness of Ireland’s Northern coast and incorporate some of the truly authentic elements of an Irish wedding, and we got exactly what we asked for!” says bride Corey of her unforgettable elopement day. “I wore a custom blue dress and let my wild Irish red hair flow, my groom wore a classic Irish tweed suit, and we stood on top of cliffs, traversed steps of the Giants Causeway, embraced in front of castles, and walked in a lot of sheep poo along the way.

The wind was insane, the weather frigid, and getting splashed by waves was beyond intense,” remembers Corey, and it made for one of the most memorable and epic moments of our lives – epic is the only way to describe it!

Our Advice To Those Planning Now

From the bride: "My advice to brides planning now is to make sure that you can find a way to sneak in an intimate moment for just the two of you. This can be touring your venue before your guests arrive, saving your vows without a crowd, or sneaking off during your reception to take some couple shots at sunset. I would also highly recommend an Irish elopement if you can fit it in and a team of vendors who really understand how to plan an elopement.
Also, enjoy the unexpected! I thought I had our elopement all planned out, but then we missed our flight and ended up arriving only an hour before the hair and makeup people arrived, the weather was crazy, and we were totally unprepared for all the sheep poo... The outcome? An adventure we will always remember - we wouldn't change a thing."

Corey’s wonderfully windblown down do with textured accent braids was created by Paula’s Bridal Hair, and her simple, earthy glam was the work of Jennifer Ireland.

Sláinte!

After their super romantic ceremony on the cliffs, Corey + Saurabh popped into a local pub to warm up and raise a toast!

Giant’s Causeway At Sunset

We can’t think of anything more iconically Irish than sunset elopement photos at Giant’s Causeway with waves crashing in the background.
