Chandeliers in Santorini: A Modern-Meets-Eclectic Wedding Shoot in Greece

This dazzlingly distinct wedding shoot comes to you all the way from stunning Santorini, Greece.

Planner + event designer Glykeria of Gigi and Roses came together with a team of super creative Santorini-based vendors and created this outdoor vision featuring an eclectically modern yellow + gray color palette, rustically organic florals, and tons of visionary arched and rounded design details at the historic Venetsanos Winery.

“The inspiration came from me thinking of creating a different kind of intimate dinner set up as most of Santorini weddings are small—only 20-30 guests,” says Glykeria. “I wanted to think of a more intimate and connected-style table setup. Not only connected by standing next to each other but also connected with the arched lighting.”

Glittering chandeliers. Bold + vibrant wedding suits. Bridal statement hats. Lush + mossy flower arrangements. And, yeah, we’ll be dreaming about these breathtaking Santorini ocean views for a while, we know.

Let’s dive into all the gorgeous photos from Days Made Of Love!

A modern invitation suite from Bright White set the tone for the shoot’s yellow + gray color world as well as its recurring circular design touches.

Also, we love how details shots like these give us a peek into the day’s delicate touches. Like those fabulous white Celine cat eye sunglasses!

Hair + makeup artist Michalis Tsotras was on hand creating show stopping bridal looks throughout the shoot. Loving the drama of the top liner eye makeup look balanced by the effortless, windblown down-do.

Absolutely enchanted by this sparkly, two-tone unique engagement ring from Alexandros Jewelry.

A Santorini Ceremony By The Sea

Curved lines, round decor, and bold + bright pops of color created the shoot’s distinct design world.

Plus, earthy + mossy floral creations from Betty Flowers added a fantasy-influenced rustic whimsy.

We are head over heels for this STUNNING full skirt off-the-shoulder Milla Nova wedding dress from Primalicia and its unique floral sleeve details.

Reception in the Round

Gigi and Roses commissioned this one-of-a-kind double-arch lighting installation from Events in Santorini specifically to create a statement design piece that would connect these round reception tables.

Maison Trilogie outfitted the shoot with its colorful rounded guest seating, modern linens, and open-center circular tables. What a genius way to feature these lush reception florals!

“We tried to create some diversity between the two tables,” says Glykeria, “just to simply show that two different unions can stand out next to each other.”

This groom switched out of his bold golden ceremony look to rock this teal and black tux—both wedding suits from Scala.

The bride’s second look? A chic + charming off-the-shoulder Rara Avis ballgown with a ruffled, pleated bodice and black bow accents from Primalicia.

All of the dazzling lighting and immersive, organic florals bring to mind this Santorini destination wedding, as well! Even more just-jet-off-to-Greece wedding inspo!

Snag a set of these black + white line work plates to recreate the modern + eclectic tablescape for yourself.

This yellow + gray floral table cloth? Maison Trilogie made that custom to fit this shoot’s concept!

Love the way this bride leaned into her b+w look with black statement accessories like these wedding heels from Schutz shoes this black floral wrap-around choker.

Also, the shift into this sleek low bun up-do and dark, smokey eye? Perfection.

If you want to capture the evening’s romantic glow, you’ll definitely need some glass cylinder vases and ivory pillar candles. And chandeliers, of course ✨

Alexandra’s Cakes created this delicious white + yellow decoratively iced gold accent wedding cake.

Some final words of wisdom from planner + event designer Glykeria of Gigi and Roses: “If I had one piece of advice to give to a bride it will be this: don’t be afraid to be your true self on your wedding day; whether that’s your styling preferences, your food choices or the music choices! It’s a day that doesn’t come back to live twice and should be a real reflection of you and your lovely one!”

Here’s to all the bold wedding planning lessons this shoot leaves us with: Go ahead! Mix modern touches with eclectic vibes. Do something non-traditional with your reception table setup! And, hey, if the gorgeous Grecian coast is calling to you, say “I do” in Santorini!
