“I went dress shopping with my Mom, my sister, and my two best friends. It was such a special day and I felt so lucky I got the spend the day with the most important women in my life.
The dress by Galia Lahav was the very first one I put on at that store and I immediately knew it was the one. I got so emotional once I saw myself in the mirror. I changed a lot on the dress to make it really feel like ‘me’. I took off the straps to make it strapless, and changed a bolero jacket into sleeves. It was everything I could’ve dreamed of and more.”

The Inspiration Behind the Big Day
The couple wanted something super classic. They were very much inspired by the architecture of their beautiful historic venue and wanted their wedding to feel like it matched that. We love all the classic, timeless details but with a modern twist as well!
The bride shares, “For the white bridesmaid’s dresses, I was inspired by my Aunt Pegi’s wedding. A few months before our wedding I found pictures of her wedding and loved how her bridesmaids all looked so chic in their white dresses even years later!”

All we have to say is WOW!
Jordan is from North Carolina and Michayla is from New Jersey so Jersey Girl has always been super special to the couple. It was very emotional for the bride to hear “I’m in love with a Jersey Girl” while walking down the aisle!

The ceremony. It was so important to us for the ceremony to feel like I reflected us as a couple as well as honored our families.
Two things we did that made our ceremony feel super special were writing our own vows and a ring-warming ceremony. We passed our wedding bands around to our family members to pray over before we exchanged our rings. One of our favorite memories from the ceremony was whispering "I love you" to each other about every 5 seconds during the ceremony. We waited so long for that day to finally arrive it felt surreal to actually be in that moment. We were both so present during the ceremony and it was a moment we will never forget.
Time to Celebrate!
SO beautiful! There were plenty of roses and candles scattered throughout the evening to lean into the romantic feeling the couple was aiming for!
Let them eat cake! This minimalistic white cake with simple floral details was the sweetest addition to an already perfect day.
Make sure your wedding reflects the two of you as a couple. It was so important to us for people to walk into our wedding and be like "Wow this is so Michayla and Jordan". We put so many personal touches into our day and it really paid off in the end. Also try your best to be fully present in the day. It really goes by so fast, take little moments here and there with your partner, your family, and your friends to just be like "OMG IT'S MY WEDDING DAY!!"
We had a killer 15-piece band that made the reception so memorable. Everyone was on the dance floor all night and people still tell us to this day how amazing the band was.
