“We never really thought of this as one day,” say creative couple Steph + Fuller of how they planned their detail-filled, two-part Minnesota wedding. “We thought of it as something to design from the ground up, and what felt most like us was two days with completely different personalities.”
Bride Steph designs weddings for a living with Serce (yes, including her own!) and groom Fuller Moe is a graphic designer, so every element of this multi-vibe, high-low celebration in black, white, and burgundy was a creative labor of love for them both.
“Day One was small and quiet,” Steph + Fuller remember. “30 of our closest people, a candlelit dinner at Paris Dining Club that felt like a private Parisian supper. All black, cream, and silver with the Minneapolis skyline out the windows.”
“Day Two at PAIKKA was the opposite on purpose,” the couple says. “Louder and bolder with a Brooklyn-meets-Midwestern-supper-club energy built around a high-low approach. Guests walked in to passed Miller High Life ponies (“the champagne of beers”), had oysters and martinis styled with custom ice sculptures, and later got pizza and McDonald’s alongside espresso martinis.”
The detail from this celebration we can’t stop thinking about? The merch table. Fuller put his graphic design genius to good use and created custom wedding merch – shirts, hoodies, coozies, and more – that guests at the Day Two celebration could take home and work into their wardrobes. Move over, favorite concert tee!
“Steph and Fuller’s wedding stands out as a fully intentional, two-day experience that blends elevated design with deeply personal storytelling,” photographer Alina Kay reflects. “Rather than focusing on a single moment, they created a weekend that reflected both their relationship and their creative backgrounds.”
One of the reasons we love sharing weddings like this one? It’s a reminder to planning couples that – in the face of infinite options, one zillion decisions, and the pressure to make your wedding feel so undeniably “you” – you actually kinda can do it all. Do the intimate dinner party. Do the high-energy rager. The most magical weddings are the ones like Steph + Fullers where you can tell the couple gave themselves permission to say yes to all sorts of things that felt right.
And, as Steph + Fuller put it: “Nothing was generic, because all of it actually came from us.”
Day One: The Intimate Gathering
Rich red blooms from Cosmos Floral popped against the white-walled industrial venue.
“Day One was a Varca Studio gown from The White Room, worn with a cathedral wedding veil and blusher,” Steph says of her bridal style at the first, more intimate celebration. “Soft and a little romantic for the dinner.”
We LOVE when couples go for potted living plants as ceremony decor!! Such a lush + vibey floral choice that’s also a really eco friendly wedding idea 🪴. This Brooklyn pizza joint wedding and this garden wedding in Florida are two other great examples.

Maria Livingood was hard at work during Steph + Fuller’s wedding weekend, creating different wedding hairstyles and bridal makeup looks for each of Steph’s wardrobe changes.
Après Event Decor supplied the rentals that brought the intimate dinner party to life in the space.
“It was understated, emotional, and incredibly personal,” says photographer Alina of the wedding’s first installment.
Day Two: The High Energy Celebration

“The design details were incredibly memorable,” Alina says, “from a striking monochromatic red floral installation at the bar…”
“…to a hanging calla lily installation above the reception space.”
We’re seeing so much of this dangling full-stem floral garland trend, and we’re LOVING it. Like at this timeless Palm Springs wedding and this effortlessly elegant garden wedding in Thailand!
Off Hand Oysters brought the raw bar energy, and Minnesota Ice kept things cool with these custom ice sculptures!
Steph + Fuller’s wedding has us thinking so much about another midwestern wedding that combined rich reds, NYC energy, and supper club culture: This Charming Red + White Wisconsin Wedding Was Inspired by the Couple’s Favorite Places
To start off the Day Two festivities, Steph wore this stunning low back Alexandra Grecco gown. Meanwhile, groom Fuller looked sharp in Canali all weekend.
Rentals from Après Event Rental and Reverie Social outfitted the Day Two space with all sorts of glowy, minimalist, modern details.
“One of the most unique elements of the wedding was the level of customization,” photographer Alina remembers. “Fuller designed all of the stationery, menus, signage, and branding for the weekend, creating a cohesive visual identity throughout. Guests received handwritten notes at their seats and interactive pull tabs led them to a custom merch station where they could redeem prizes—hoodies and t-shirts designed specifically for the wedding.”
Wrecktangle Pizza made sure Day Two’s guests were well fed with this delicious meal — also, SO obsessed with these menus Fuller designed! That custom “Club Steller” logo 😍

Our Favorite Memory
The custom merch booth, hands down. Custom pull tabs that every guest received led guests to a merch booth where they could redeem hoodies and tees we'd designed just for the wedding and the whole thing felt less like a wedding favor and more like the best sweatshirt you found at a dive bar. We still get selfies from friends wearing their merch, which might be our favorite part of all. Proof that the people we love are still walking around in a piece of our wedding.
Way to go, Fuller Moe. This idea should be at the top of everyone’s creative wedding guest favor ideas lists.
That Big-Screen Worthy Love
“During cocktail hour, a projector played iconic love scenes from films and TV shows like The Notebook, Pretty Woman, and Friends,” Alina remembers.
“…along with a surprise clip from the couple’s ceremony the night before, allowing guests to experience both days as one connected story.”
Projections as decor — another wedding trend we are loving to see! So cinematic!
“Designing our own wedding as two creatives was the most personal project either of us has taken on,” Steph + Fuller share. “We’re endlessly grateful to the vendors who helped us pull off two completely different days and make them feel like one, and to every guest who got a handwritten note, redeemed a hoodie and stayed on the dance floor with us.”
The delicious, nostalgic charm of this vintage wedding cake from Dorothy Ann Bakery is undeniable.
Our Advice
Don't try to be different for the sake of being different. Chase what's actually true to you instead. When every choice is rooted in your own story, the food you love, the people you'd want in a small room, the way you'd actually throw a party, the day ends up feeling singular without you ever forcing it. Unique is a byproduct of honest, not a goal.
