It’s hard to believe we’ve come to the end of another year of packing the pages of GWS full with love, inspiration, and the most amazing weddings from all over the world! Even crazier to think that 2018 marks 10 years of GWS! (Any longtime readers out there?!) Year 10 didn’t disappoint, bringing with it some of the most beautiful, ornate, fairytale-esque, and crazy weddings we’ve ever seen.
It’s always fun to look back and see which weddings were the most visited on GWS! This year we’ve got that classic Parisian romance, plenty of DIY-focused brides, and one wedding so shocking that…well, you just have to see it. (!!!)
Counting down from #10 to #1, here were the most clicked on + visited weddings on GWS in 2018!
10. Chic and Moody Wedding on a Snowy Mountaintop
When the bride cites her look like an “earthy-moody-boho-Game of Thrones-Vikings” combo, we’re definitely down! Joe + Jordan wed on a snowy mountaintop, giving their rocker-meets-boho nuptials a top spot on our list.

9. Edgy Meets Glam: Marie Antoinette-Inspired Wedding in Paris
It’s Sophia Coppola’s ‘Marie Antoinette’ with a glam, romantic + whimsical edge. Frankly, our mouths hit the floor with every single photo from Nina + Gabriel’s Parisian wedding day!

8. A Black Tie Affair: Modern Countryside Wedding with Luxe Boho Accents
Perhaps it was the bridal party in black, the cascading floral cake, or the dreamy ceremony site along Santa Barbara’s countryside that made Izzy + Tony’s day one of the year’s favorites? We love it ALL. (And, PS: There’s also a French bulldog in a tux, just for good measure.)

7. Jamie Kidd + Blake Mansfield’s Vintage Sunset Garden Wedding
Jamie + Blake’s fairytale wedding unfolded with more and more dreamy details by the minute! A garden wedding inspired by the gorgeous tones of the sunset, it’s hard not to fall in love with the hanging floral installations, individual cakes as name cards, and reception tables set for kings + queens!

6. Handmade New Orleans Wedding in a 19th Century Converted Church
Ella + Brandon’s New Orleans wedding featured lots of DIY details by the couple (she made her own dress—hello!) AND they opted for beignets over cake, which makes them pretty dang great in our book. Plus, Brandon’s velvet jacket is definitely one of the sharpest looks of the year!

5. Modern Palm Springs Wedding With Bridesmaids in White
She’s a fashionista, he’s a surfer, and together they threw one of the most rad weddings of the year. Filled to the brim with boho-tropical details and an escort display that’s as coconuts as it gets, Ali + Max’s Palm Springs day just breaks into the top 4!

4. Chantelle Paige’s Magical Fairy Tale Wedding in the Woods
The Cinderella vibes were real in Chantelle + Coulter’s wooded wedding day! These two high school sweethearts brought the ultimate fairytale to life with draped floral hoops, ballroom-worthy fashion, and massive age-old trees.

2. The Bride That Worked at Pinterest: The Most DIY-Filled Wedding, EVER!
If you’re at ALL using Pinterest to plan your wedding, you probably found it just as intriguing as us to see how someone on the “inside” gets it done. Krissi used her know-how to plan a free-spirited and imaginative day, filled with DIYs and dreamy escapes with her husband, Wylie!

1. Love is in the Air: A Wedding Suspended 400 Feet Above a Canyon in Utah
The number one wedding of the year quite literally rose above the others! The professional slacklining couple, Kim + Ryan, said their vows suspended 400 feet above the desert and we are STILL not over it! The couple incorporated flower girls base jumpers, highliners, aerialists, acrobats, fire spinners, and musicians into the 3-day event—a true celebration of love and adventure.
