I’m totally loving the relaxed + fun vibe of his wedding today from Australia. Candice + Sam really wanted their wedding day to be like “the feeling of all your close friends and family sitting around a large table eating and drinking, laughing and telling stories – those evenings that you never want to end.” Love those kind of nights too! They based their wedding around capturing that “feeling” along with great food + wine. Luckily Candice had also been collecting old things + new things for several months to help with the decor also. :) All their guests dressed with the gypsy theme in mind too! Oh, and thought it might be fun to note that the whole wedding was planned in just four months and that included Candice making her own wedding dress!! Amazing. I had many memorable moments during the day but the one that stood out to me was when i hugged both my parents farewell at the end of the aisle and took the hands of the love of my life!! Very overwhelming!
From Candice: I became one of those people that thought “I can do everything, in just 4 months.” I made my own wedding dress, sewed all the feather headpieces, put together all the flowers for bridesmaids and the list goes on. Would I do it again? For sure!!
It is a testament to our photographer Lara who did above and beyond what we asked for. She become a part of our day making everyone feel comfortable and inspired by her detailed eye for colour for style and for that ‘otherworldly’ look and feel. She was extremely professional and fun and documented our day for us perfectly.
If I were to give any advice i would say relax and enjoy the planning. Enjoy each other and enjoy friends cause it comes and goes oh so quickly! And i would yell out to all HAVE LIVE MUSIC! It is amazing and creates an organic feel to your day!
