Hot Pink, Banana Leaves & Glam: A Maximalist Wedding Worth Daydreaming About

At Elkins Estate, – a grand + gorgeous late 1800’s mansion venue not far from Philadelphia, PA – there’s a beautifully restored historic wood bar. Behind the barfronts are massive arched mirrors. And on the walls: something unexpected. The most tropically retro + brilliantly maximalist banana leaf wallpaper.

That wallpaper (fans of the classic Miami-set sitcom The Golden Girls will recognize the pattern from Blanche’s bedroom) is one of the many reasons that this color-drenched Palm Beach-inspired wedding shoot worked so beautifully at the sprawling 42-acre estate.

Planner + event designer Lizzie Noble of Lizzie Noble Events headed up a team of Pennsylvania vendors to create what she calls “a maximalist fever dream of pinks, greens, and unapologetic party-girl energy.”

“Think Lilly Pulitzer on a bender,” she says. “Floral patterns dancing alongside funky lamps, sculptural tiered cakes, and a crescent reception table designed for full-send celebration.”

You’ve got to see this bold, beachy beauty of a wedding editorial to believe it, and that’s why we’ve got these incredible photos from ALN Images. The closer you look, the more you’ll see cause the team used everything at its disposal to create the shoot’s unique vibe – lots of layered florals, vintage touches, and plenty of playful, unexpected details.

“It’s the kind of shoot that invites couples to imagine what’s possible when you stop trying to follow the rules—and instead, build a dream team who can bring your boldest vision to life,” Lizzie says. “Because when your vendors are in sync and the creativity is flowing? That’s when the magic happens.”

Pinks, greens, stripes, florals. These playful, modern wedding invites by Calligraphy by Michelle T understatedly hint at the maximalist vibe to come.

Bold + Elegant Wedding Style

The chic irreverence of this shoot’s aesthetic definitely called for something as show-stopping as this asymmetrical high-low wedding dress from Le Bella Donna.

When in doubt, there’s no more elegant look for a groom than a white jacket tux like this one from Ventresca. The contrasting black pocket square is such a sharp touch.

This bridal look is the poster child for pops of color. Hot pink platform wedding shoes AND hot pink beaded fringe wedding earrings?! Be still our hearts! 💕

A Brilliantly Bold Celebration

LOVE the idea of using pink paper fans with custom calligraphy as escort cards!!

It was Zoë Sky Salon who created this sleek yet classic bridal hairstyle for long hair, and this subtle glam wedding makeup look was by JKo Beauty.

Can we talk about these floral arrangements by The Capital Flower Fairy?! Every single one of the day’s many colors can be found in these beautiful blooms. So much texture + organic motion to them!

Still not over these amazing hot pink heels? Yeah, us neither. Shop this sparkly pair from Lulus for something similar!

Also, we love to see a groom in sneakers! These low top Panda Air Force 1s by Nike are such a perfect pair for the b+w vibe of the tux.

These days, more and more event designers + couples are thinking beyond the classic rounds + banquet tables of more traditional reception setups. Check out our roundup of exciting, creative reception table configurations for even more inspo!

Perfect Settings decked the C-shaped table out in a maximalist, modern-meets-vintage collection of dreamy details.

That stacked ball table lamp!! Lamps as part of reception decor is a quirky + cozy design choice we’ve been loving lately (like at this Schiaparelli-inspired wedding!).

Also, how precious are those white Rialto glass champagne coupes!

“From the beginning, the team knew this wasn’t going to be about subtlety—it was about story. A narrative told through texture, color, and contrast,” says Lizzie.

This pink floral print tablecloth from Something Vintage might just be the star of this reception setup.

Oh, and take a look at this elegant Italian destination wedding to see another C-shaped reception table in action!

Meet Me At The Bar

Velvet Sky Bakery brought all kinds of color to the dessert table with this scrumptious teal wedding cake.

Ah!! 😍 That amazing banana leaf wallpaper! We’ll never recover.

“From the bride chugging champagne on the bar to the bold interplay of old-money glamour and rebellious spirit, every frame proves that more is more when the vibe is this good,” Lizzie says.

You should also definitely see this Jaquemus-inspired California wedding for one of our other favorite pink shoe moment.

Honest question: is there anything more romantic than a vintage wedding cake?

This boldly maximalist pink + green wedding editorial really does have us daydreaming of Miami 🌴💗 SO excited to see what kinds of color-rich celebrations it inspires! Congrats to the whole team from GWS!
