“We made our wedding a celebration of our story by collaborating on every detail,” the couple told us. “Instead of following a strict traditional script, we focused on creating moments that were genuinely ‘us’ — colors, music, and personal touches that reflected our memories as a couple.”

Wedding Day Looks That Last Forever

The best wedding day outfits never go out of style, and this gorgeous lacy wedding dress from Gilded Bridal is the perfect example. “I wanted something classic with a square neckline,” says Nicole. Simple, elegant, and SO stunning!

Keeping with the timeless style, Nicole paired her elegant gown with these chic Maxos Heels from Tony Bianco. Because you can never go wrong with simple white wedding shoes!

The finishing touch to her classic look? This romantic floral veil. “My veil is custom-made from the same overlay lace as the dress,” shares Nicole.

Daniel also opted for a timeless wedding day look. His inspiration? “Something classic with interior details and navy shoes for a pop of color.”

Equally as elegant as the couple’s personal style was their romantic venue. The Merrimon-Wynne House in Raleigh, North Carolina, provided the ultimate backdrop for their vintage-meets-classic aesthetic, with blooming hydrangeas and charming historical architecture.

A Classic Ceremony Drenched in Neutral Hues

That feeling when you get your happily ever after! Every twist and turn in Nicole and Daniel’s love story led to this romantic moment — from moving states to be together to their intimate proposal at home.

“Dan proposed to me in our guest bathroom (lol),” says Nicole. He surprised her as she was getting ready for bed after a long day of travel by walking into the bathroom holding the ring. “It was perfect. He knew I didn’t like a grand proposal. Getting engaged in our home, celebrated until 2 am with just the two of us, all of a sudden, my long day of travel was washed away.”

The simple romance of their proposal was reflected in their elegant ceremony, which featured monochrome white flowers from Hathaway Floral Design and a luxurious draped curtain backdrop.

“We wanted timeless, clean, and elevated. Champagne, soft white, all neutral colors,” says the couple.

An Intimate + Glamorous Cocktail Hour

After their “I do”s, Nicole and Daniel skipped the posed photos and instead joined their guests at their luxe outdoor cocktail hour.

Cocktails were served on the porch of the historic mansion, setting the tone for the luxurious garden party aesthetic of the rest of the evening.

Another dreamy decor detail? These ivory bow accents, which were delicately tied around vintage bronze candelabras. Obsessed!

The minimalist tables from Curated Events were arranged in long rows on the venue’s lawn, where guests dined beneath a canopy of twinkling string lights.

Matching the clean and elegant aesthetic, the centerpieces featured dainty white florals and classic tapered candles displayed on timeless white tablecloths. It’s sophisticated simplicity meets garden romance, and we are in love!

“Our wedding day wasn’t just a ceremony but a joyful, big party among our favorite people that resulted in a celebration that felt as natural and vibrant as our relationship,” says the couple.
