Sarah + John wanted to throw a true Southern hospitality wedding. They choose the Historic Cedarwood in Nashville, Tennessee as their location and their day was full of family + lots of antique decor. I love that Sarah + John wanted their guests to feel like they were at a “relaxed, Southern garden party.” Thanks to Ulmer Studios for the photos and congrats to Sarah + John!

Probably it would have to be either hiking through the chigger-filled fields in our wedding clothes for some awesome photographs with Josh & Amber of Ulmer Studios, or the fact that it was 67 degrees as the high temperature on our wedding day (June 1st)! We had to pull out the heat lamps at the reception!
The ladies at Historic Cedarwood and the amazing photographers at Ulmer Studios were the most personable and wonderful people to work with; they made the planning so easy, and totally delivered way more than we ever could imagine! We were so peaceful through the planning process, that when it came to our big day, we couldn’t have been more relaxed and ready to get “the show on the road!!”
When we first started planning our wedding, I went in with the mind-set of "how can I save my parents money?" instead of "what is my dream wedding?" After my parents and my (now) husband had a talk with me, we realized it was better to think big and see how to make those big thoughts into reality. It is completely possible!!

The Protea bouquets were a unique touch! They truly helped to pull together your “relaxed, Southern garden party”. Any other flower would have taken away.
I love the color of the bridesmaid dresses!
the house is gorgeous and the banners are precious!!
The outdoor loveseat area for him & her is simple and so cute!!
Beautiful wedding! Love the arch! where is it from???
Hi Lindsay, the arch is a rusted iron gate owned by Cedarwood, and one of the options for ceremonies in our meadow.
We love it too! Thanks for your comment.
Ulmers!!! Great stuff as usual !!
Beautiful!!
Adorable couple! I love the first photo of the bride and groom and the one of the bride with her bridesmaids, so sweet!
love the protea bouquets! and yay for gowns with pockets. fantabulous job capturing it by ulmer studios!
The ceremony decor is unreal! So many good DIY ideas! Love the pop of turquoise in the glassware.
the bride dress is GORGEOUSS :X
Beautiful photos, I love the slight vintage feel over the whole selection of images. The nerves on the grooms face before seeing the bride says it all really.
That is such a great wedding! I love the style and colors. Such great taste!!! ~ Saluti.
I really love the theme and the shade you choose. It is the shade of green I want in my wedding. What shade is this? The bouquet is really simple yet lovely too. Cool!
