There’s a chance you recognize those cuties above from their fairytale-like proposal in NYC’s Central Park. Jared completely surprised Jenna when he popped the question on a boat in the lake + the two toted around NYC for a killer engagement session through the city streets. When the engagement that starts off with that much sweetness + style, we pretty much know the wedding is going to be good. And let us just say, their big day doesn’t disappoint!
Jenna tells us, We didn’t try to hold the perfect Pinterest wedding, we just wanted our wedding to be very personal and fun. I’m a wardrobe stylist and Jared is a drummer/producer. We love all things creative and modern. Since Jared is Australian, we incorporated little Aussie things throughout the day. We had eucalyptus everywhere, I designed and made a corn hole set with one side being the American flag in our wedding colors and the other board being the Aussie flag. Our wedding was at The Cordelle, a modern urban venue that’s all white mixed with brick and a mid century flair. Us, in other words.
Thanks so much to Teale Photography for the beautiful images + congrats to Jenna + Jared on such a sweet day!
Since Jenna is a stylist, an off-the-rack dress just wasn’t her cup of tea. She designed her stunning two-piece number, picked out the dreamy fabrics, then had her seamstress, Maria at Romantic Creations Bridal Couture, bring it to life!
Jenna says, I’m not a flower person so I took everything that I found unique and put it into a beautiful bouquet. I chose flowers like thistle, eucalyptus, king protea….and red cabbage. And with those requests, Rosemary and Finch Floral Design crafted a perfect bridal bouquet that exuded a stylish, Australian feel.
We love the bridesmaid dresses, too! Mismatched emerald, mint + teal frocks chosen by each of the ladies! Shop our fave dresses in this pretty palette below:

Processional: Bridal Party: Fools Rush In – Elvis (Performed by Jon McLaughlin); Bride: Glasgow Love Theme from Love Actually
Recessional: All You Need is Love -Groom and the music director surprised Jenna like in Love Actually when they whip out instruments...but guests had been given kazoos!
First Dance: You Are the Best Thing Ray LaMontagne
Something that was extremely memorable was what we did to honor our moms that are both deceased. We felt a major hole during the planning so we wanted to acknowledge them. I had my three best friends from home lead my bridesmaids in purple dresses with a small yellow flower. One put a flower on my mom's seat, another on Jared's mom's seat and the last flower in a vase in front of the altar to signify unity. My mom was a professional baker with her expertise in pies. I never liked cake much so I had all my "fill in moms" or friends bake pies in honor of our moms. We had a beautiful spread of 30 pies.
