Inspired by the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, which is held every year on a 700-acre farm near Nashville, Tennessee, today’s styled shoot, designed by the Cedarwood Weddings team, is so fitting for the offbeat bride and groom with an identity all their own!
Linda from Cedarwood shares more with us, Moody blues, from the groom’s attire, to hand-made shibori fabrics, pottery and blue vintage glass, infuse event design with a cool vibe, warmed by authentic Moroccan brass and candlelight. The celebration, like this couple, has worldly hip soul.
Big thanks to Ulmer Studios for the gorge images below!
So much love for this gorgeous watercolor shibori-inspired suite by Designs in Paper. Too good!
The bride wanted her wedding look to incorporate non-traditional attire. Skipping the traditional wedding gown, she rocked a cropped tank, wispy skirt, and deep red lip. Festival-worthy jewelry and boots complete her romantic Bonnaroo look. Our team styled a floral hair accent and created a free-form bouquet to match her gyspy heart. The groom’s ensemble repeated their indie style with black jeans and suspenders, perfect for an acoustic serenade for his bride.
White proteas, thistle, queen anne’s lace, anemones + eucalyptus FTW!
Hand dyed indigo fabrics and tassels draped on a birch frame add natural texture and airy grace to the expansive Tennessee outdoor farm setting at Historic Cedarwood. Reception tabletops repeat hues of blue and white, natural wood and brass. A paper suite designed as an artistic play on shapes and patterns, further ties together the mix of indigo elements, and completes a table bursting with personality.
Paying tribute to the bride and groom’s love of crafts and artisan products, the celebration includes locally sourced wine flights and a hand-painted shibori-inspired statement wedding cake. Impromptu guitar jams and moonlight dancing keep the evening laid-back and lively.
Just lovely, no? Big thanks to the very talented wedding artists below for sharing!

I love the carry through of the blue from the blue ribbon on the bouquet, the blue braces, the gorgeous printed blue table cloth, to those super gold candlesticks. Great to see!
