This wedding was a whimsical dream!! This couple is super fun and creative – and their creativity shined through all of it. The venue, Vineyards at Bettys Creek in Sylva North Carolina, had so much character to it from the antique architecture to the beautiful vineyards. Luxe Wedding Designs handled everything from planning, to event design, even down to the florals!! They pulled in so many personal details – from a painted canvas with the seating chart (the bride is a large installation painter and artist) and King of Pops champagne treats (tied to the groom), to featuring their adorable pups on their cake topper!!
This couple wasn’t afraid to try things out of the box and get creative! The couple spent a lot of time on the artistic details and the vision – but while keeping it true to their personalities. Christine Quarte was so lucky to have the opportunity to capture such a beautiful wedding event for this sweet couple and we are so excited for you all to see the photos from the day…
The Beautiful Bride
Bride Janice stumbled upon Magnolia Laine Bridal in Atlanta when she was looking for a certain designer in the area and they had her dresses there. They had just opened the week prior! But of course after trying on a few dresses there she fell in love with another dress from a designer called Monreal. The style couldn’t have fit her more perfectly and she looked gorgeous!
This bride’s gorgeous silver, leafy hair piece by Dareth Colburn truly added a pop to her tousled up-do!
Ooo La la! These neutral wedding nails had a fun twist and show off her gorgeous ring from Brilliant Earth!
The couple wanted their wedding to have a whimsical/dreamy vibe incorporating what they both do and love – the bride’s love for art and flowers, Nick’s popsicle company, and their two Australian shepherd pups!!
Obsessed with this pink bouquet? The entire wedding was decorated with stunning florals – so whimsical and colorful, yet romantic! 💐
J + N chose the Vineyard at Betty’s Creek because they both love the mountains and have even camped around the areas around there. It’s only about 2 and a half hours north of Atlanta so it was a little bit of a destination for the couple without being too far. Win-win!!
The bride shares with us:
“I grew up with a love of flowers from my mom being a florist when I was young and so the flowers were really important to me. I went all out with them! And couldn’t have been happier.”
The Wedding Party
How gorgeous do these bridesmaids look in their matching burgundy gowns? We love when bridesmaids wear dresses in the same color, but in different styles that match each woman’s personal preference. That way everyone is happy and comfortable!

The couples asked their guests to throw dried petals in the air as the two descended down the aisle and look at those smiles on their faces!
There can be so much outside influence and pressure to cater towards others feelings. But at the end of the day it's your wedding and it should be how you envision it to be. Don't regret later on that you didn't do what you wanted to do. Thankfully both Nick and I's families are easy going and went with whatever we wanted to do. Also start prepping early! I think what saved me a lot of stress was slowly purchasing things a year out for it. Therefore when the day gets closer it's less stressful. Having a month of planner was the BEST investment I could have ever made. It put less stress on us for the wedding day and we didn't have to do anything but be there and get ready. Elena of Luxe Wedding Designs was AMAZING, listened to everything I envisioned and executed it beautifully. She really is the best.
A Memorable Reception
There was a King of Pops cart (groom Nick is the co-owner!) set up at the ceremony giving out popsicles, pop-tails, and ice cream sandwiches (it was also available during cocktail hour).
This reception space is absolutely perfect and we wanted to share with you some of our favorite reception tables of all time!
The couple had to include their two dogs Scout and Mango throughout their wedding day! Of course their signature cocktails were named after their pups and they also stood as the wedding cake topper which you’ll see down below!
For dinner, the couple had 3 different food stations – a Korean station, an Italian station, and a taco station. “They seem random but if you know us as a couple and our families then you understand the reasons behind the choices!” shared Janice.

And a late-night snack option? We are always fans of some food after dancing!
We LOVE a good cake topper, but personalized ones are our favorites! ESPECIALLY when they hit close to home!
The moment that stands out the most is how much my dad wanted to dance to 'the Wobble'. And it wound up being the first song played right after the speeches and he jumped up and started dancing and yelling for everyone to get up and dance. He really brought everyone to the dance floor for it. He made sure to watch youtube videos of how to dance to the wobble days prior to the wedding.. made me laugh so hard. And another moment is of course when Nick first saw me! Loved his expression.
This bride exchanged her heels for a pair of white sneakers on the way out!
