Chic Archived Attire

Model Marie loves to crochet and made this pink crochet dress just for the shoot! And for the rest of the attire, they checked out a vintage shop in Buffalo, Second Chic Buffalo that helped photographer Sarah Potter style the two. They were going for vintage 70s and Harry Style vibes! …which they absolutely achieved!

Fun story about these rings!!

“We went to a jeweler here and M + G picked out rings for each other that we were able to rent out, and they did not want to give them up afterwards! Guy even trolled his friends on Facebook posting a photo from his phone with his hand and hers with the rings on while we ate lunch at their favorite sub shop, Violas. He posted the photo with no caption and no context, everyone freaked out it, was pretty funny to see all the ‘WHAT’s and ‘Congrats’ and ‘I knew it’.”

Loving this DIY veil that Marie is wearing!! It has little white daisies all over it for that added touch of cute vintage flare! If you are looking for a similar veil, we found this flower veil on Etsy.

Who knew velvet and crochet paired so well together?! Loving these bridal booties Marie opted for to stay comfortable as she and Guy explored!

Bridal Falls, Niagara Falls

Can we just take note of Guy’s paisley moment?! Loving how he leaned into the 70’s attire himself!

The trio started their shoot at the Bridal Falls, Niagara Falls, where they did a “first look.” Marie was actually SUPER nervous, and Sarah had to keep reminding her how it wasn’t real. So cute!

While the two were posing, they even got to see a stunning rainbow whilst getting drenched by the mist!

Time For a Lunch Break

Apparently, there were lots of “congratulations” from pedestrians throughout the shoot which made it even more real and cute!

A Special Sort of Friendship

Sarah shares with us, “Marie & Guy, my models and very close friends have been friends themselves for about 20 years now, (they used to date and are now just besties). BUT I wanted to highlight their love as best friends and somehow it’s a thing that’s even closer than that. Hard to explain I know, but it’s more of a closeness intimacy than romantic. Who knows if it will ever blossom more than that but their love is certainly something special.”

Not only did these fantastic sunglasses dress up the shot…but so did the flowers adorning Guy’s hair and beard! So cute!

Proper bouquet or flowers in a tote? We’re kinda loving the latter, especially for these 70’s vibes!

Super obsessed with this vision that was perfectly executed by an adventurous trio!! Sarah concludes by sharing, “In the end what’s better than a great fun day with friends, photographing what you love, and a steak & cheese sub? Winning day!” …And she is absolutely right! Cheers to any of you out there planning your own big day with vintage flares! We can’t wait to see what you come up with! 🥂
