Every year GWS takes a look back through the real weddings we’ve shared and tallies up which ones made the biggest splash! We’ve gathered the ten real weddings from 2023 that were the most viewed, the most liked on social media, and had the most visits from our beloved GWS readers, and we are so excited to share them with you.
This year we all fell in love with quirky elopements, dreamy destination weddings, and intimate creative celebrations alike. And SO many of the most loved weddings from 2023 embraced color + fun! Especially in the wedding dress department!

10. This Bride Wore a Pink and Red Heart Wedding Dress For Her Vegas Elopement!

Starting things off: this unforgettably romantic + impulsive Vegas elopement. The perfectly pink venue. The Elvis tribute who drove the newlyweds around in a pink Cadillac. And of course this AMAZING pink wedding dress! This colorful celebration was what elopement dreams are made of.

Coming in at #9 is the very first real wedding we shared in 2023 featuring another colorful bridal look! This whimsical modern wedding full of fairytale vibes was truly a work of art. The tinted baby’s breath florals!! 😍 And we are still crushing on this bride’s tiered blue wedding dress and the sequin embroidered veil she paired it with. And there’s a fab high-low reception dress that is not to be missed.
8. This Summer Wedding Boasted An Unexpected Bold Color Design And Major 70’s Vibes!

OK, this warm + colorful wedding was way ahead of its time, embracing peachy tones a whole year before Peach Fuzz was named Pantone’s 2024 Color of the Year!! The lush florals and retro 70s vibe made for a perfect summertime celebration. Also, anyone with a sweet tooth is gonna want to check out this wedding’s mind-blowing dessert table.
7. This California Wedding Featured a Cotton Candy Color Palette Along with a Bounce House!

This vibrant, young-at-heart wedding was an out-of-the-box dream. First of all: the BOUNCE HOUSE! What could be better than a bouncy pre-wedding photoshoot with your person?? And don’t get us started on all of this bright + joyful color!! The ruffle hem pink wedding dress!! The blue wedding suit! And so many colorful parasols. This fun, playful day was a totally unique take on the Northern California vineyard wedding.
6. Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens Gorgeous Cabo Wedding

The US gymnastics GOAT got married!! Simone Biles looked absolutely flawless when she tied the knot with NFL player Jonathan Owens in Cabo. Their breathtaking white wedding was accented with champagnes, golds, and teals. There were cascading monochrome florals, stunning seaside views, and a first dance complete with showers of cold sparks. And FIREWORKS, too!? Simone + Jonathan’s day was truly a luxe masterpiece of a destination wedding.
5. A Pastel Lace Wedding Gown For This “Sophisticated Rainbow” Wedding in Louisville, Kentucky

This wedding was pastel perfection. The custom peach + pale blue lace wedding gown was an absolute show stopper. AND…it has pockets. The couple’s plan to subtly incorporate every single color of the rainbow somewhere in the day totally paid off. We’re still so in love with this fun + elegant celebration of queer love.
4. Whitney Simmons is Married!! Inside Her Magical, Modern Wedding Day in Mexico

Fitness personality and content creator Whitney Simmons and husband Stefan said “I do” in Mexico, and their modern, intimate wedding is not to be missed. A ceremony in the desert sand full of massive architectural archways. A poolside reception under the stars with of tons of twinkling string lights. Whitney’s gorgeous custom Galia Lahav gown. The hits just keep coming. And! We should mention: their welcome party was totally stunning, too.
3. Tyler Posey + Phem Tied the Knot!! Take a Peek at Their Magical Malibu Wedding

Musical artist Phem + actor Tyler Posey (of MTV’s Teen Wolf) got married in Malibu, and their edgy, romantic day centered the beauty of the SoCal coastline and included accents in every imaginable shade of green. If you love the idea of an elevated boho vibe with some alternative energy, this is the wedding to study up on. And Phem’s short puff sleeve reception dress is to-die-for!
2. The Bride MADE Her Embroidered Floral Wedding Dress For This Funky + Colorful Palm Springs Wedding

This year’s runner up features a masterpiece of an embroidered bridal mini dress with an epic train. Not only is it gorgeous (and IMPRESSIVE), it’s also full of meaning!! All of the flowers this bride chose have a special significance to the couple and their families. Another thing we love about this wedding? The couple’s super-chic take on a traditional Chinese tea ceremony!
1. The Bride Wore a Floral Wedding Dress for Her Intimate, Elegant Big Sur Wedding

And first place goes to…this absolutely beautiful Big Sur celebration!! And once again, a non-traditional bridal look captured our hearts! This bride’s romantic floral wedding dress still has us totally enchanted. One of our fave details from this day? The couple shared an intimate first look and then drove together to the ceremony along the California coast in a vintage Porsche. The coastal photos they took along the way have to be seen to be believed. Timeless elegance and colorful, non-traditional elements can work beautifully together, and this wedding proves it.
