Maximalist artist, graphic designer, textile designer, interior designer, and fashion designer Dani Dazey is the queen of embracing vibrant patterns and vivid colors. Of course she’d be a bold + colorful bride!
Dani’s the mind behind art, apparel, and home goods line Dazey LA and interior design firm Dazey Den, and her husband Phillip is her project manager! You probably recognize their work from famous drag queen Trixie Mattel’s motel renovation reality show Trixie Motel on Max. Dani filled the playful theme rooms of Trixie Motel with tons of bold, original prints and textiles. Dani + Phillip even had an adorable on-screen mini-wedding in the motel’s powder pink poolside courtyard!!

Dani + Philip’s wedding at the iconically pink and print-filled Madonna Inn was a nonstop celebration of color. “We wanted our wedding to be everything we wanted and nothing we didn’t want,” the couple says. “We threw out all tradition and expectation and just went with our gut and what we loved. We chose fun colors, a fun venue, and elements that really felt personal and not stereotypical ‘wedding day.’”
We are totally in love with the way that Dani + Phillip’s wedding captured their playful vibe. And 39° North Productions (aka Dani’s sister!) was on hand capturing every vibrant moment!
“As a designer I’m known for my use of bold color and prints,” Dani says, “so that was actually the theme of our wedding: print and color!”

“I designed my dress, from the print to the silhouette!” says the talented bride. “I’ve owned my own clothing line Dazey LA for years, so I had all the tools at my disposal to make something custom. I made the bold print inspired by the venue and wanted the silhouette to be funky and girly. I didn’t need or want to be timeless. I wanted a playful statement that felt like me.”
Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding Definitely everyone showing up in amazing outfits and enjoying each other’s looks! After the reception we all room hopped and checked out the cool themed rooms and got to hang out with our friends in this magical and whimsical place all weekend. It was amazing. It was a wedding that everyone will remember for sure.
