When bride Alexandra first moved to Colorado from Florida in 2016, she fell in love with aspen trees. The way the leaves danced in the wind mesmerized her, and she decided she would one day get married surrounded by those magical trees. That is around the same time that she met her future husband, (even though she didn’t know it yet!). Cesar and Alexandra worked together for a few years before they started dating, and a few years after that…he proposed on Christmas of 2020. So romantic!
The October prior, the two took a road trip from Denver to Park City and were both captivated by the sight of Utah in the fall. When it came time to decide where to get married with family all around the county, Park City was the perfect spot. Their venue, which only allows three events of 50 people per year, is located in an immense thicket of aspen trees in Utah, in the Wasatch Mountains…and let us tell you…it is absolutely stunning! (Just wait ’til you see the reception!)
These gorgeous photos were taken by Kate Osborne Photography and we can’t wait to get into this magical evening. You are going to fall majorly in love with the design + florals from Moonstruck Florals! Let’s get to it!
Cesar + Alexandra’s Big Day

The daintiest of accessories! Need help finding the perfect wedding earrings or bridal purse? We have you covered!

Time for the first look! It looks like he can hardly wait!

For both of us, the most memorable moment of our wedding day was the first look. Seeing each other and exchanging our vows under the aspen trees gave us a perfectly private moment together and shook our nerves before walking down the aisle.

The couple shares that even though they had a small guest list, it was important for them to have time for just the two of them on their big day. They did this by having a first look and sharing their vows before the ceremony!

This gorgeous gown from Jenny Yoo is to die for! We asked the bride to share her journey of finding her perfect fit:
“While visiting my family in Florida, my mom, sister, and I spent the day wedding dress shop-hopping. After visiting several shops, there were a few dresses I liked but none that felt like “the one”. On our last stop at Lovely Bride Miami, the stylist pulled a dress with a cascading skirt that did not fit the style I pictured myself wearing. As soon as I put the dress on, I fell in love. It was the perfect balance of structured but whimsical that I did not even know I was looking for. It was also fitting that I would find my dress in Wynwood as it was my favorite area of town when I lived in Miami.”

The groom sure does look snazzy in his Indochino suit!

It’s All in the Details

We love eco-friendly confetti! These bags full of petals are perfect for an outdoor wedding.

You’re going to see just how much this couple loves honey! Here’s the first time you’ll notice it. They served their guests delicious honey lavender lemonades! SO refreshing!!

“For the aesthetic of our wedding, we were most inspired by the local landscape. Utah is magical in the fall, and our goal was to enhance the features and colors found in nature.”

“We valued sourcing local elements to highlight the destination. We wanted to showcase the local flowers and textures in our wedding that drew us to the area the year before. Our aisle was composed of local wild asters, golden ferns, and lisianthus that looked like they could have been growing on the mountainside.”

Here Comes the Bride

We love this moment! Need help finding a song to walk down the aisle to?

“While planning the details of our wedding, it was important for us to tie in cultural elements that represented Cesar’s Mexican heritage. During the ceremony, two members of the wedding party led us in a bilingual worship song that the guests were able to follow along with in both languages using the lyrics on the program. Although this was very untraditional, it was a special moment that meant a lot to the two of us. We also included Spanish on our menus and asked our chef who was Mexican as well to make a traditional Mexican drink – Agau de Jamaica!”

These two are husband and wife! Congrats!!

“Cesar and I both love honey and have a past time of sampling local honeys at farmers markets on our travels, so for our wedding favors/seat assignments we wanted to treat our guests to local honey from a small-batch local beekeeper.”

A Night to Remember

Alexandra: If you are having a destination wedding, spend the time to find vendors that are very knowledgeable about the area. Having a local photographer that grew up near our wedding venue and had photographed the area regularly was a huge help!
Cesar: If you are having a fall outdoor wedding in the mountains, be prepared for the nightly temperature change. Although it got a bit cold once the sun set, our guests were happy to be able to sit around the fire with blankets at the reception!

“During our reception, we were surrounded by our closest family and friends under twinkle lights in a secluded aspen forest. We danced the night away and ended the evening with a send off in a sea of bubbles. Looking back, the whole day feels like a dream more perfect than we could have ever imagined thanks to the unique details that made it “us”.

What a beautiful send-off! A huge congrats to Alexandra and Cesar on their wedding! Here’s to a lifetime of love and laughter!
