“Love + Colors” – A Groovy, Psychedelic Wedding in Central Pennsylvania

“Our inspiration was love and colors!” say Jessie + Brandon of their rainbow, retro wedding at Stone Mill Inn in York, Pennsylvania.

It’s no surprise that the couple gravitated towards groovy, free-spirited hippie vibes for their big day since they first met through The Peach Music Festival, a festival for the iconic 1970’s musical artists The Allman Brothers Band.

Designed by Creamery Hill and coordinated by the planners at Stone Mill Inn, this vibrant wedding day showcased disco shimmer, funky prints, and color blocked florals to create what the couple refers to as both “an explosion of colors in the sky” and a “60’s Woodstock meets 70’s roller rink utopia.”

One detail we love? This wedding also showcased a love story of a different kind: one between a couple and their vendor team! Not only did Jessie + Brandon vibe creatively with the wedding professionals they chose, they adored their vendor crew so much that they invited everyone to stay and celebrate with them throughout the reception.

“When you have an amazing couple like Jessie + Brandon who wholeheartedly trust their vendors to take their ideas and run with it,” says photographer Kylee B. Photography, “you end up with the most magical wedding day!”

Jessie added glitzy disco shimmer to her bridal vibe with these rhinestone-adorned “Pam” silver pointed toe flats from Betsey Johnson.

Our Advice

Hire all female vendors (lol.)
Hire a team that works together, vendors who know each other. Tell them your vision, and then let them bring it to life- don't micromanage. They know what they're doing!
