Both Christina + George loved NOLA long before they found each other. The two met on the set of Good Girls were George was working as a camera operator. When they first started dating—each on a different side of the country—New Orleans made a perfectly romantic + adventurous midpoint city where the couple could meet. Over time it became a city that felt like theirs even though they’d each come to love it on their own.
So when Christina + George started planning their “I do’s,” New Orleans made perfect sense as a location. With the help of planner Emily at Unique Weddings and Events, a sultry, delicate celebration full of moody colors and lace took shape at Napoleon House, a historic spot in the heart of the French Quarter that boasts a beautiful balance of peeling paint and opulent grandeur.

First things first: the night before the wedding even began, Christina was already stunning guests in this iconic read-carpet-worthy welcome dinner dress.
The dusty blue gown was designed by none other than fashion genius friend of the couple Christian Siriano.
The Big Day In The Big Easy
The beyond-charming French Quarter hotel Soniat House served as an elegant home base for the wedding weekend’s celebrations.
Stylist Lawren Sample was the architect of Christina’s wedding weekend style, creating a series of looks that embraced all kinds of delicate feminine elements like florals + lace.
The moment you’ve been waiting for: THE DRESS. The first time Christina saw her tiered skirt long sleeve lace Katya Katya London wedding gown, its delicate beauty brought her to tears.
We love that Christina embraced an all-lace silhouette with these romantic pointed toe wedding heels.

A Courtyard Ceremony

Christina + George’s ceremony was officiated by Shirley Manson, dear friend and lead singer of the rock band Garbage whose marriage to record producer Billy Bush the couple admires.

After the ceremony, these gorgeous newlyweds took to the streets of New Orleans.
Christina, George, and their guests grabbed their umbrellas + hankies and headed out into the French Quarter for a second line—the traditional New Orleans wedding parade—led by New Groove Brass Band.
A Romantic Reception
We cannot get enough of this unique wedding reception seating chart! Each table was named for a color in the wedding’s palette and accented with a corresponding tassel!
