Brace yourself: this Barbie-themed extravaganza is gonna blow. your. mind.
Every year, the Kansas City based event designers and planners from Events by Elle invite all of the wedding and event planners in the area to “KC Plans,” an industry event where they can connect and celebrate the work they do.
The theme of 2023’s “KC Plans” event? You guessed it! Barbie! Barbie is having a massive cultural moment thanks to Greta Gerwig’s summer ’23 blockbuster. But the timing of this event was total kismet! “We actually started planning the party in early July of 2022,” Michelle from Events by Elle says. “We soon found out the movie would be released a week before our event. It was so fun dreaming up concepts with the vendor team while we saw Barbie evolve into international excitement!”
The team of vendors that Events by Elle assembled went BIG to make The Gallery into a space that was sparkly, bold, and above all PINK!
And photographer Claire Ryser captured all of the maximalist magic with her camera!
This bright and shimmery invitation suite by Yellow Brick Graphics is nonstop nostalgia!
The explosive floral installation on this adorable welcome sign is just the beginning of the INSANE creations that Good Earth Floral Design Studio brought to the event.
Barbie’s Dream Closet
Pieces from Marquee Event Rentals helped to create immersive experiences throughout the event such as Barbie’s Dream Closet, Barbie’s Living Room, and Barbie’s Bake Shop.
Also, those shoes! Grab your some glittery silver heels, light pink rosette high heeled mules, and hot pink sling back pointed toe pumps to create your own Barbie Dream Closet!

The white iridescent sequin tablecloth and frosted acrylic table numbers perfectly balance all the pinks in that fab floral centerpiece.
