Historic Tamory Hall in the heart of Pella, Iowa used to be a roller rink way back in the day. The second story venue still boasts its original oval-shaped wood flooring where people used to skate in circles for hours.
Photographer Morgan from Verdigris and a team of amazing Iowa-based vendors used the venue’s roller rink history as a jumping off point when they put together this fun and colorful retro-inspired editorial at Tamory Hall. The team, which included planners and event designers from Midwest Meets Design and flowers from M.Klyn Floral Design, filled the event space with pops of hot pink, and their model of course strapped on a pair of white roller skates!
“Roller Rinks are bright and colorful and loud and we wanted our details to stand out in a similar way,” says Morgan. “Vegas meets the 80’s in a midwestern community where country and boho are still commonplace.”
