We all know and adore Barbie in all her variations—classic Vintage Barbie, Astronaut Barbie, Veterinarian Barbie. But photographer Lex Hudson of The Hitched Hiker wants to introduce you all to Alaska Barbie!! Lex and other Alaska-based vendors created this elopement editorial to bring some Alaskan adventure to everyone’s favorite doll, so they set up this elopement shoot full of bright pinks and pastels on the banks of a glacial lake near the Knik Glacier.
“We also wanted to show real couples Alaska isn’t just ‘plaid and rugged mountain hiking,’ says Lex. “It can be anything you want!” We are obsessed with the way that Lex, Alaska-based wedding planner and elopement coordinator AK Happenings, and Honey Bee Flower Company created this fun, maximalist, glam, Barbie-inspired moment against the backdrop of truly breathtaking Alaskan natural scenery.
