This “Sweet Like Cherries” Wedding in the Catskills Was a Rich Red Dream

It’s modern but somehow also timeless. It’s sophisticated but with a splash of coquette. This sweet cherry red wedding editorial is all we’ve been able to think about lately, and we can’t wait to give you a taste with these wonderful photos from Rolling Rivers Photography!

Inspired by “the warmth of love and the richness of nature,” and led by planners + event designers from We Do Events, this east coast vendor team collaborated to bring to life a shoot that would “reimagine modern wedding aesthetics with a touch of old-world charm.”

To ground the aesthetic in natural beauty, these creatives chose luxury campsite company Autocamp’s location in NY’s Catskill Mountains as their backdrop. And from there they built a cherry-coded fantasy full of warm, saturated reds. “The rich color palette, reminiscent of ripe cherries and deep autumn sunsets,” says photographer Ashley. “It adds depth and drama while maintaining an inviting, cozy feel.”

We can’t help but love every detail of this creative, crimson editorial. From the abstract, reimagined bridal bouquet to the red velvet bows to the immersive, glamping element of the concept. 

And Ashley perfectly articulated one of the key elements that makes this one so special: “It speaks to the growing movement toward intimate, experience-driven celebrations.”
