“When we started planning, we both had one clear vision: we wanted a wedding that was intimate, authentic, and a reflection of who we are as individuals and as a couple” say Sierra + Michael of this absolute dream of a destination wedding in Lake Como, Italy. “We also wanted to use our wedding as a way to give back to our families who have given so much to us throughout the years.”
So the couple rented a whole villa in the famously stunning Italian lakeside town. They stayed there with their families, and then, with the help of photographers + planners from Blancorazon Wedding, hosted their romantic pink + red wedding there as well.
The whole thing looks like a snapshot from an Old Hollywood movie star couple’s Italian vacation, and the design of the day—from style choices to decor—has us absolutely enchanted.
“The couple’s design vision was guided by Sierra’s breathtaking alternative bridal gown, a bold and beautiful creation in shades of pink and red,” remembers planner Patrizia of Blancorazon Wedding. “This unconventional choice became the cornerstone of the day’s aesthetic, inspiring every detail of their celebration. The vibrant hues of the dress were reflected in the floral arrangements, featuring lush roses, peonies, and dahlias in deep reds and soft pinks, creating a romantic yet modern palette that felt both luxurious and alive.”
One of the couple’s main goals was to use their wedding to create an unforgettable vacation for their families in a beautiful location full of delicious food and uninterrupted quality time together, and the photographs that Blancorazon Wedding snapped perfectly capture the intimate + celebratory energy of their Italian getaway.
“Above all, we wanted to create an experience where our families could truly relax and enjoy being together,” Sierra + Michael say, “no distractions, no stress, just love and joy.”

Getting Ready
Sierra’s crew got ready together in cool tone patterned pj sets from Flora Nikrooz. Such a perfect bridesmaid gift idea!
“I’ve never been one to follow tradition just for the sake of it, so the idea of wearing a white dress was something I wasn’t sure about at first,” Sierra remembers. “As I was helping my mom and mother-in-law search for their dresses, I came upon this Sachin + Babi dress I ended up choosing for our wedding.”
“I fell in love as soon as I saw the it,” says Sierra. “I think the dress also was a way of making the day uniquely my own.”

“Once I was set on the dress, I shared images of it with our wedding planner, Patrizia. She was amazing at bringing the vision together. She worked so seamlessly with our florist Margherita Flower Studio to design a floral and decor experience that beautifully complemented the dress. Everything came together in such a beautiful way, and I felt like the entire day truly reflected us.”
“Always one for attention to detail, I had my tux custom-made at BLVDier in Chicago,” Michael says of his sophisticated look. “I had an amazing experience crafting a suit with them previously, so I knew I had to get my tuxedo from them. I wanted something that felt timeless but also reflected my personal style, so Zach and Kirsten Uttich worked with me to create a classic tuxedo with a modern twist.”

Our Favorite Memory
Reading our personal vows to each other will be what we remember the most. I think having just our immediate family members there allowed us to be our most vulnerable. And for a bunch of self-proclaimed non-criers, it was a very emotional day (many a happy tears :) ) But that’s what made it so special—those raw, unfiltered emotions were exactly what we wanted to capture in our vows. It felt like the most honest and meaningful exchange of promises we could have made.
