All of us here at GWS have it pretty good: we spend the whole year looking at the gorgeous, creative, romantic weddings you pour your hearts + souls into. It’s such a joy to see the way our Real Weddings couples capture the magic of their love stories with different takes on color, decor, style, trend, and tradition.
And once a year we take a moment to look back through the brides + grooms we got the chance to feature over the last 366 days (shout out to Leap Year) and reflect on the weddings that made the biggest impression on all of you!
These are the ten Real Weddings from 2024 that were the most viewed, the most liked on social media, and had the most visits from our beloved GWS readers, and WOW are there some good ones on this list. The whole thing is non-stop hits.
This year we all fell in love with colorful + floral dresses, unique takes on groom style, and big creative swings with even bigger payoffs. And SO many of the most loved weddings from 2024 embraced the magic that can happen when flowers are featured in a major way!
So, before we ring in 2025, let’s take a moment to look back through the completely unforgettable weddings that really spoke to all of us this year!!
10. This Whimsical Texas Wedding Was an Explosion of Vibrant Florals

To start us off we have this whimsical Texas wedding full of vibrant florals. The bride’s puff sleeve wedding dress had us all enchanted. The ceremony arch was something out of a colorful dream. And those powder blue mismatched bridesmaid dresses?! 🩵 Also, the reception from this one is really not to be missed. A total masterpiece of chic + elevated color in an all-white blank canvas barn venue.
9. Tuxedos + Angel Wings for This Timeless Black Tie Wedding!

Grooms Larry + Inguss STUNNED in their matching white jacket tuxes, obviously, and Larry’s angel wings really took the look to a *heavenly* level. Feathers even played a major role in the decor. The black + white color world brought so much sophistication to the day. And, at the reception, these two balanced the elegance of their private estate wedding with some pop princess glamour in the form of a Britney Spears tribute artist. We are obsessed.
8. A Backyard Turned Into a Vibrant Oasis for a Tropical-Inspired Wedding

There’s really no way to prepare for the way Sadie + Christian’s wedding transformed Christian’s parents’ backyard in Bakersfield, California. With the rich, bright pinks of California-native bougainvillea flowers as inspiration, these two let color lead the way, and the result was a vivid poolside celebration bursting with magentas and peachy oranges. There was so much dreamy drapery. And tropical touches like fresh fruits added earthy fun to the reception.
7. A Couple Got Married on Top of a Giant Wedding Cake!

Everyone wanted a slice of this fantastical, maximalist wedding day! Why not use your ceremony to become your very own cake topper, right?! It was quirky. It was classic. And the reception was a moody, deep red affair with embroidered tablecloths. The whole thing quite literally takes the cake in oh so many ways.
6. Yellowstone Stars Ryan Bingham and Hassie Harrison’s Cowboy Black-Tie Wedding

It was a “Cowboy Black Tie Affair” for Ryan Bingham + Hassie Harrison’s wedding day. The Yellowstone stars dazzled their guests with an elegant backyard ceremony, a lush floral honky-tonk reception, and of course some killer pairs of cowboy boots. And we’re still dreaming about Hassie’s sparkle fringe reception dress ✨
5. The Bride Wore A Floral Wedding Dress For This Colorful + Crafty Wedding

This one is for all the DIY dreamers out there! Crafty couple Rima + Richard created so many elements of their airy atrium wedding day themselves: Floral arrangements. Bridal party shoes. Hand-thrown pottery wedding favors. Even the rings! And color ruled the day in a really wonderful way. Oh, and then there’s that vibrant floral appliqué wedding dress! Perfection.
4. Bride Dani Dazey Designed Her Own Pink Wedding Dress for This Print-Filled Maximalist Wedding at Madonna Inn

It makes perfect sense that maximalist artist, graphic designer, textile designer, interior designer, and fashion designer Dani Dazey chose the iconic Madonna Inn as the venue for her wedding to groom Phillip. Dani is the queen of embracing vibrant patterns and vivid colors, and Madonna Inn is a print-filled, kitschy, pitch-perfect spot full of delightfully over-the-top details. Dani designed that hot pink tiered skirt bow-shoulder floral wedding dress herself, and Phillip’s embroidered wedding suit fit the vibe exactly. There were hand-painted taper candles and disco balls with pink crystal flowers, and the wedding guest fashion at this one is a must-see.
3. An Orange Wedding Dress for This Magical Montana Elopement

Caitie + Logan eloped in the mountains of Glacier National Park, and the pics of their intimate, adventurous day live rent-free in our heads. Caitie’s beautiful orange wedding dress billowing in the mountain wind 100% takes our breath away every time we see it. Eloping is totally the answer for any couple into a small-scale + unforgettable experience, and Caitie + Logan made it look so good.
2. The Grooms *Stunned* At This Intimate Yet Glamorous Backyard Wedding in Palm Springs

This year’s runner up was a true show-stopper. Caleb + Cameron’s pink, glittery Palm Springs spectacular of a wedding featured a desert photo shoot, a fabulous drag queen officiant, shimmering guest fashion, and these utterly unique all-white groom looks by internet design sensation Gunner Deatherage. The bubble hem skirting on Cameron’s jacket. The billowing cape on Caleb’s open-collar silhouette. It’s all just so good.
1. This Modern Texas Wedding Was a Fun + Colorful DIY Dream

And in first place we have one of the most charming contemporary weddings we have ever seen. Brook + Ethan tied the knot in Texas, and the whole thing was a romantic, subtly sparkly dream. Maybe it was all of the DIY details. Maybe it was the impeccably chosen + very vibrant color scheme. Maybe it was the pearly bridal headband paired with that glorious tiered tulle skirt puff-sleeve wedding gown. Maybe it was the GIANT, fringey “Best Day Ever” sign (an especially amazing + ambitious DIY creation). Maybe it was all of those things together that made Brook + Ethan’s day the GOAT when it comes to our 2024 weddings!
