Friday Favors + a Happy Halloween!

halloween wedding

Hope everyone had a great week and has something sweet planned for this weekend :)

If you are new to this blog, check out this super fun Halloween wedding we shared last year – still one of my favorites.

Love this all green bouquet from this wedding where the groom (who is a chef) did the catering for his own wedding!

I think this might be my favorite short wedding dress ever!!

And a sweet wedding from Duston Todd in Salt Lake City

Don’t forget! You still have a week to enter our free wedding photography package we are giving away to one lucky couple from photographer Jessica Feely!

In The Mood For Love…

TQ + Amy were married in Bali last month and decided to do their engagement photos there also. They love the romantic movie In the Mood for Love by Wong Kar-wai and used it as their inspiration. If you haven’t seen this movie, I highly recommend it! The fabulous duo of Erin Hearts Court were the photographers for this fun session. Thanks guys for sharing this unique engagement session with us today.

More Creative Wedding Invitations

One of my favorite parts of my job is surfing the web + checking out what other talented designers are creating and currently inspired by. This past week I stumbled across some really unique + fun invites – my favorite! First up is Mike + Rachael’s invite. Mike is an art director so of couse he wanted to have some fun with his invites :) They got married in the Pacific Northwest + their invitation system complimented the couple’s offbeat style with a full wedding-day guidebook, map and scout badges.

How fun is their wedding handbook! Just adore it…

Next up is from the creative team at Ptarmak. Such a fun invitation suite for an “Old Fashioned Southern-Style Hitchin’ in Texas.” The design is AMAZING and just has such a rad overall feel.

And for a new spin on one of my past favorite ideas – the handkerchief invite! I love the cardboard sleeve and all the details that went into the design of the handkerchief. You can read all about the creative process behing this invite on Kelli Anderson’s blog.

If you are in the process of thinking about invitations hopefully those inspired you a bit – remember the invite is generally the first thing your guest will see about your wedding and really helps establish the overall vibe for your day.
