Villa Vienna Is the New Southern California Wedding Venue Currently Stealing Our Hearts

There’s a brand new Southern California wedding venue in the mix!

Everybody, meet Villa Vienna. 

Owned by a married couple whose 2024 wedding inspired them to add their own venue to the map, Villa Vienna in Pala, CA is a space “inspired by the quiet elegance of the European countryside.” Think romantic, old world ambiance without the transatlantic travel. 

We’re obsessed with this editorial designed + planned by Teardrop Wedding Events to feature everything the new venue has to offer. Velvet. Tulips. Chandeliers. And as for the color palette: it was a sage green dream.

“This editorial was created to introduce a brand new European-inspired venue, Villa Vienna, opening in August 2026,” says Carlina of Teardrop, “with the intention of shaping how the space is first experienced and remembered.”

It’s SO exciting every time we get the opportunity to introduce a fresh new venue into the conversation, and Villa Vienna is no exception. The shady outdoor event space surrounded by lush green trees, the string lights swaying overhead, the built-in oval stage tailor made to feature a ceremony or a reception band – so wedding-ready! And the way the team outfitted the new space for the shoot? Soft, romantic perfection in stunning shades of green.

“What sets this design apart is its focus on structure, texture, and intentional layering rather than traditional styling,” Carlina adds. 

We are so deeply here for the drapery-as-decor trend that is taking the wedding world by storm at the moment, and this editorial (especially the ceremony) featured it so beautifully. “The ceremony concept centered around soft, immersive drapery in a muted sage tone, creating a sculptural backdrop that feels both romantic and architectural,” Carliana explains. “Paired with cascading fabric, curved forms, and suspended chandeliers, the design creates depth and dimension while maintaining a refined, editorial feel.”

Little Paper Press created an old soul-ed wedding invitation suite that feels like Jane Austen novel-worthy love letters. The script! The wax seals! The ribbon! The floral envelope liner!

The Ceremony

Harpist Stephanie Iorga filled the air with the tune of ethereal, angelic strings to set the mood.

We are so obsessed with the idea of runway style ceremony seating arrangement. There are so many ways to get creative with your ceremony setup. Why not make the walk down the aisle *the* moment?

Brilliant Event Lighting was behind both the shoot’s breathtaking draping AND this amazing bring-the-indoor-to-the-outdoors lighting setup.

“The florals were designed in organic groupings rather than uniform arrangements, allowing movement and asymmetry to bring a natural softness to an otherwise structured space,” says Carlina of the shoots blooms by Petal and Peach Floral.

“The palette remained grounded in soft neutrals with subtle pops of pink and green, creating a look that feels fresh, feminine, and elevated without overpowering the environment.”

This voluminous, cascading cathedral-length wedding veil was the work of Jana Ann Couture.
