Hanna and Brant are natural-born adventurers. The two live their lives to the absolute fullest – traveling the world, crafting art, and falling in love over and over again while doing it. While their original wedding plans included friends and family, the two later decided to experience their most special adventure of all with just the two of them. The special place they decided to marry? The Sahara Desert!
Hanna reached out to photographer Amanda Watt who helped her find Tinglao Events. With the help of Amanda and Tinglao Events, Hanna and Brant were able to put together the elopement of their dreams outside of Merzouga, Morocco. After saying their vows, the couple went to Tawarigit House to celebrate! We love that photographer Amanda Watt was there to capture the event from sunrise to sunset. Ready to see this once-in-a-lifetime wedding?! Let’s get into it!
Getting Ready in the Sahara

This magical day started off with a getting-ready photo session at the couple’s hotel. Hanna wore spectacularly colored blue and purple jewels (she designs jewelry and these are some of her designs!), as well as a matching robe.

Hanna wore the ultra-unique and endlessly beautiful Priya gown by Rue de Seine.

Everything that I do and everything that I make is a piece of art. I wanted my dress to be the same way. As a designer, I battled designing my own dress or purchasing one, but as soon as I saw the colors of the Rue de Seine gown, I knew it was meant for me. It captured the dreamy look of opal and lavender opals that I use in my own designs. It was perfect, a true piece of art!

The bride excitedly danced the morning away while preparing to meet her future husband in the middle of the desert.

Just in the distance was Brant, approaching the site where he and his bride would soon say ‘I Do’.
Desert Vows

Few experiences in life can be compared to this. The gorgeous Saharan landscape combined with symbolic doors and beautiful camels truly speaks for itself.

The two doors represented the infinite possibilities for both Brant and Hanna that were to come as a result of their union.

Brant couldn’t help but express his joy at seeing his beautiful bride!

The couple’s love story began with them traveling the coast of Australia together in a van. And now, they entered an entirely new chapter by expressing their love in the middle of the desert.

Congratulations to Hanna and Brant!

The two celebrated their union with purple smoke bombs that perfectly matched Hanna’s dress!

A sendoff on camels was the best way to transition from the site of the ceremony!

Everything from start to finish was pure magic but we would have to say the wind was the most symbolic. In the early mornings, the wind gusts were slamming doors shut and knocking pictures off the walls. This put us all on high alert for fear of a sand storm. Then just like that, moments before we needed to start our journey into the desert, it just stopped. A calmness surrounded us as we began the ceremony. Pretty fitting as our whole love story was the enigma of me being the feather and Brantley the wind!

Our love story was written by adventure. So naturally, we ended up halfway across the world to say our forevers.

Here’s to Forever

Morocco was a true dream for us, but taking this unconventional route wasn’t the easiest for our families to understand. It was already hard enough for us to articulate what we wanted to do because we wanted an adventure and the best adventures don’t have detailed plans. We ended up realizing that the best way for our friends and family to truly understand our love would be to document our adventure to show who we really are. So we set out on our journey and said our vows with only the sand of the Sahara as our witness.

The evening concluded with an unforgettable meal. Moroccan tea and pastries were served ahead of the couple’s first dance together.

The couple danced the night away to ‘Forever You and Me’ by the Tesky Brothers.

We took an adventure, we lived our life, and we got married along the way.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
