When this modern, edgy couple decided they wanted to throw a beautiful, out-of-the-box wedding, Curated by Grace + White was up for the challenge. Ethereal orchid waterfalls at the ceremony and custom archways by Eothen Floral enveloping the tables anchored the bold, Fine Art style that couple Pia and Tommy were envisioning. And let’s not forget to mention the fun, unexpected surprises like dueling pianos and a wall of desserts that enthralled the guests throughout the night – finally capped off with an In-n-Out delivery!

A Napa Valley Dream
The sweetest first look! We love these moments because it’s a special time between the bride and groom to check in with one another before the craziness of their day begins!
Looks like the groom loves the bride’s dress as much as we do!! We asked her to share a little bit about finding her perfect dress:
Fashion has always been important to me and I never imagined that I would end up with a strapless tea-length dress! My mom lives out of state and traveled one weekend to try on dresses. Because of this, I was determined to find a dress that day we went shopping. I had appointments at a total of three boutiques. The dress I ended up choosing was the first dress I tried on at Kinsley James by Kim Kassas. The dress was made of this beautiful semi-sheer fabric that reminded me of the traditional Filipino dresses called filipiniana. I wanted something a little untraditional with the tea-length dress to show off my sculptural Ferragamo heels.
“We wanted to make sure that the wedding really told the story about us as a couple. To begin with, we both love California and wanted to share our love of the state with our close family and friends, the majority of who traveled far distances.“
Floral Details
Pia had two big requests. The first was large floral statements since she loves flowers so much – us too girl! She wanted the wedding to be filled with beautiful organic and dreamy florals including two stunning floral arches…and Eothen Floral certainly delivered!

Of course, the couple had to invite their furry pup to be a part of their wedding! Quite possibly the cutest wedding guest of the day!
Processional: All of Me by John Legend (harp instrumental)

Food and Entertainment!
Okay, we know you’re thinking it so we’re just going to say it… This. Is. Breathtaking!!! These floral arches create the most whimsical feel and the pop of blue really allows these white florals to shine!
Food was a big factor and the couple wanted to make sure their guests were well fed, just as if they were going to come to visit them at home! P + T had a four-course tasting menu centered around seafood like scallops and sea bass. Delicious!!
Entertainment is also a huge part of our planning process. The couple shares that in business school, their peers knew they would never leave the dance floor and wanted to bring that same energy to their wedding. They had a lovely harpist that played modern songs during the ceremony and had Dueling Pianos as the main reception entertainment. Guests requested their favorite songs just like at a piano bar and everyone danced the night away. Such a fun idea!!
They skipped the traditional wedding cake and had a dessert wall filled with Tommy’s favorite donuts.
“One of our favorite personalization moments was our seating chart. We wanted our guests to be reminded of the love they too have experienced.”
Guests found their names by either their own wedding photos, first pictures from early dating stages, or fun memories with either Pia or Tommy.
Honorable mention was our signature drinks that really showed our personalities. Tommy’s was a glass of Pinot Noir and Pia’s was a shot of tequila.
This couple couldn’t be more in love! And what a magical space to celebrate their big day!
Time to Party!
Bride Pia’s second request involved Pia’s dream job to be a hype girl at NBA games. So as their wedding favor they created custom merch and Pia got to live her dreams by tossing them out to our guests to get them to the dance floor.
Tommy: Take your time! It can be overwhelming but by giving yourself enough time you will be better able to enjoy the process. If you run into stress just know it will all be worth it in the end. Even if something doesn't go exactly as planned it will still be an amazing day and your guests won't even know
Pia: Hire a planner. I wouldn't have been able to do this without Sara von Feldt from Curated by Grace + White. We were very fortunate that we didn't have to factor opinions from others. A lot of time and money goes into planning this day, so we made it a priority for the wedding to be as authentic as possible to us as a couple.
Their late night snack was In-and-Out, because of course! The bride shares that her reception dress was completely sighted unseen. She purchased it from Loho Bridal’s sample sale when she saw it on their Instagram story! It was a tiered and two-piece Houghton dress that amazingly needed zero alterations.
This couple limited the guest list to under 50 people so that they could meaningfully interact with all their guests.
“There are honestly no regrets we have from this wedding. It will continue to be one of the most magical memories we will look back and cherish.”
