Tatiana and Michael are a Star Wars loving couple who met through a mutual love of the franchise (in fact, it was their first conversation!). The couple met during the pandemic, and quarantine made sure they had PLENTY of time for communication and remote Star Wars marathons. Naturally, after their engagement in February of 2021, they knew they wanted to get married on Star Wars Day which is May 4th – May the 4th be with you!
The day ran smoothly thanks to McArthur Wedding and Events and photographer Lauren Pippin was on site at the couple’s venue, the Juniper Mountain House in Evergreen, CO to document the entire day! Let’s dive into this incredible wedding!

Tatiana shares how Star Wars has always been a big part of her life, and played an even bigger role during the pandemic.
“I work as a nurse in the ICU and even with all the PPE we had to wear I made sure to exhibit my love of Star Wars. You have no idea what seeing a Star Wars related scrub cap, pin, or badge reel will do for a patient or family member. A temporary break from the stressors of being in the ICU, finding some common ground and talking about something other than prognosis and lab values, not to mention the encouragement of someone telling you not to worry, “the force is strong within your family”. It makes a difference.
If rebellions are built on hope, so are recoveries. I will continue bringing the love of Star Wars to my patients and their families, because I have seen it make a difference. So much so, that the charity organization (the official 501st, backed by Lucasfilm) decided to make an appearance on our special day!
