Content creators Madison Henderson + Matthew Scharff’s social media love story began when they met on TikTok during the pandemic. Followers fell in love with them while they fell for each other, and after two years of dating the romantic video of Matthew getting down on one knee in Greece in August of 2022 has millions of views.
When the time came to plan the wedding, Maddie + Matt decided they wanted a celebration that felt intimate and elegant. That meant a guest list of only 30 for the ceremony and 55 for the reception to keep things personal and low-stress. “I was STRESSING about finding my dress,” Maddie says. “I went to so many stores but didn’t find anything that looked good that wasn’t super expensive. I came across an ad for Grace Loves Lace, and immediately went in to try on some dresses.” That’s how she found the show-stopping low-back high-slit Goldie gown. “The lady there asked me to try it on, but I told her it wasn’t my style…I put it on and fell in love. And for a good price;)”

Plan and make it all perfect…Then if you don’t have a wedding planner, get a close friend you trust (mom or MOH), and give them the contacts for every vendor. The day-of, tell them you don’t want to know anything. Just enjoy that day. If something isn’t exactly how you want it? That’s bound to happen. If you trust the person you put in charge, let them stress for you. YOU just focus on going with the flow and having a good time.”

Our Advice To Those Planning Now Do what YOU want. It’s YOUR day. We wanted to feel less stressed, so we had a micro wedding with adults only. This made us able to truly talk with everyone while still enjoying our day. And the parents still tell us how grateful they were that they could have a night out!

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding From the bride: "Most memorable part is hard to choose, but I loved our choreographed first dance. It was to "When I Look at You" by Miley Cyrus. We practiced for weeks and were so excited to perform it!"
Another valuable word of advice from the bride about capturing your day: “One thing I will tell EVERYONE to get, is a day of content creator. Even if you are not a content creator, have a person there to take all the BTS footage of the day. It can take weeks and months to receive footage from your main photographer and videographer. With a content creator, she shoots it all on her iPhone and you get it the next morning. Matt and I loved going through the hundreds of photos and videos of our day together the next morning. We got to relive it together. That is definitely a must have!”
