Perched on the romantic cliffsides of Positano, Italy, Miranda and Kyle’s micro wedding was larger than life. While they kept the guest list small (their dream team of vendors actually outnumbered the guests!), their Amalfi Coast celebration went big with opulent florals, lavish decor, and ceremony views straight out of our Pinterest dreams.
“They wanted the day to feel both personal AND wildly beautiful — and it was,” says photographer Catalina Jean. “From the setting to the styling, every detail was thoughtful, every moment felt cinematic, and the whole thing was proof that you don’t have to have a huge guest list to go all out.”

Micro Wedding, Major Style
“Miranda and Kyle’s wedding might’ve been a micro wedding on paper, but in real life? It was a full-scale destination wedding, with all the elegance, style, and intention of a 100+ guest affair,” says Catalina Jean, the couple’s wedding photographer. The overall aesthetic? Intimate, luxe, and editorial, as captured by these custom wedding invitations by Claudia Vizzoni!
Speaking of luxurious style, Miranda’s wedding gown was just as jaw-dropping as the gorgeous destination. “Miranda had been following Berta on Instagram for years at that point, so she was dead set on getting married in an ultra-glam, sexy, fitted dress with a long train,” the couple told us.

To complement the romantic off-the-shoulder neckline, Miranda paired her gown with this glamorous wavy wedding hairstyle styled by Alessandro Mancino….

For his look, Kyle leaned into the classic elegance of their wedding aesthetic with a custom-made tuxedo by the local brand CADRÆ, which was founded by former Philadelphia Eagles player Malcom Jenkins.
“The CADRÆ team worked hand-in-hand with Kyle to make sure the fit was perfect, but to also add a custom liner using an old Arsenal FC kit pattern and embroidered patch,” said the couple.
“Kyle then had Hockerty make custom loafers to bring a more summery vibe to the tuxedo in light of our wedding location being the Amalfi Coast.”
While the couple initially wanted to elope, they decided to compromise with an intimate micro wedding in their dream destination. Because a place this beautiful deserves to be shared!

A Cliffside Ceremony With a View
“The ceremony took place under a lush pergola draped in florals, with soft blush and sand-toned roses cascading like the pastel cliffside buildings of the Amalfi Coast,” shares Catalina. “The aisle was lined with white rose petals and candlelight, leading to a floral installation that felt more like fine art sculpture than wedding décor.”

To make their cliffside ceremony that much more unforgettable, the couple wrote their own vows and had Miranda’s friend, Kelly, officiate.
Fun fact: Kelly is actually the catalyst for the couple’s meet-cute, after inviting Miranda to visit her in college, where they stayed with her friend (and Miranda’ future husband) Kyle!

Hello, dream dinner party vibes!
“The dinner table was a design lover’s dream: layered white and soft taupe linens, elegant black and white plates, pink glassware, and floating candle holders suspended above a cloud of orchids and roses,” shares Catalina.
“Even the flatlays were dialed in: deckled-edge vow books, illustrated menus, and vintage Italian stamps,” she says. (P.S. We found similar custom illustrated menu designs on Etsy!)
“We like a very elevated, glam vibe, so we kept the florals very clean and soft looking with whites and very light pinks,” the couple told us. “But we added a touch of black to bring an edge to the day/vibe.”
Our Advice
Do your research and get an amazing wedding planner! Our wedding simply would not have been possible without our planner (Cristina from Italian Wedding Planners) being the boots on the ground and coordinating things over in Italy. Not only was it better that way because of the fact that we physically could not make trips over to view samples, tables, etc., but our wedding planner also helped guide us with timing, quirks surrounding the location, and things relating to the general language barrier/cultural differences. Also, if your photographer is not from your location, book them ASAP. We were so happy we locked Catalina down, as her style of photography was exactly what we wanted.
Our Favorite Memory
It's so tough to choose. We would say it was either (1) walking through the streets of Positano for our wedding portraits (we felt like celebrities!), (2) exchanging our vows, or (3) honestly, the after-party at the club and our villa in Positano — nothing beats having the craziest, best time with your closest friends/family until 4:00 a.m. in the most stunning location. We never wanted the night to end.
Is there anything dreamier than celebrating by candlelight with your nearest and dearest? We think not! Once the sun went down, these glamorous hanging tea lights added an extra romantic, intimate vibe to the couple’s dreamy centerpieces.

How purrr-fect is this wedding cake design?! For a personalized touch, Miranda and Kyle incorporated their babies (their cats, Sloan and Sascha) into different elements of their wedding design, including these adorable cake toppers!
“Don’t be afraid to do something different and be opinionated! It’s the one day you can have everything pretty much curated exactly how you like it — choose the more upbeat first dance song, choose the unexpected color to mix up your flowers, wear the fun reception dress. Make the day YOURS!” advises the couple. “But also, take little moments throughout the day to take a mental snapshot of what’s going on. It’ll fly by so quickly, the little moments are the ones that stand out the most.”
Did someone say fun reception dress? To end the evening, Miranda changed into this feathery second look from Retrofête for a night of dancing under the Italian stars!
