We are full-on summer mode over here, which means one thing: lead us to the closest body of water ASAP! All these cold dips (and cold drinks) got us thinking—if we were to have a bucket list for the raddest swimming pools, where would they be? Naturally, we did some extensive research in the name of Love + Wanderlust, which leads us to today!
It turns out, there are some seriously breathtaking pools out there. Some with views over the ocean, or mountains, some perched high above a bustling city, or at eye level with the tree line. Whatever your flavor, there’s something here for you. So let’s dip, baby, dip…into #TravelThursday and the DREAMIEST pools from hotels around the world (aka, your new honeymoon inspiration guide)!
Float Between Sky and Sea
Go ahead, try to find a spot that isn’t breathtakingly gorgeous along the Amalfi Coast! But if it’s an infinity pool over the cliffs at a hideaway-of-a-gem location you’re looking for, it’s the Belmond Hotel Caruso all the way. Jen + Jason actually stayed here a few years ago and mention it as one of the dreamiest pools they swam in (scroll a bit further to see their second fave pool!).
Pool, Meet Ocean
Take a dip with the fish—4,000 to be exact! King’s Pond is 1.8-million gallon “aquarium” carved out of the natural lava rock at the Four Seasons Resort in Hualalai. On the Rocks
A former military fortress, Spain’s Cap Rocat is utterly breathtaking. Only 24 rooms makeup this unique hotel, where calm waters, inspiring design, and delicious food rule.
Den for Zen
For fans of minimalism done right, the Aman Tokyo is inspiration at every turn. Experience a relaxing Japanese bathing ritual and find your zen while the city buzzes below.
A Pool for Thrill Seekers
WHOA. Every dream of swimming IN the skyline? This glass-bottom pool hangs over the 29th floor of the boutique Hotel Indigo in Hong Kong—yep, that’s a different kind of view!
Tile Heaven in the Heart of Marrakech
L’Oriental Médina Riad & Spa is home to the pool of all pools in Marrakech—you may have seen it from this elopement shoot or this travel guide! Let’s just say that between the beautiful architecture surrounding the pool to the ornate tile inspiration, this one is definitely on our bucket list.
Water on the Water
First of all, we’re feeling the Wes Anderson vibes with the Grand Hotel Tremezzo‘s hotel front. But that pool that actually floats over Lake Como?! We’re sold.
Views for Days in Switzerland

A Seawater Crystal Lagoon in Chile
This pool is the equivalent of 6,000 (!!) regular 8-meters-long pools! Pulling in seawater and sand from the beach nearby, this pool maintains it’s warm temperature and always holds that dreamy turquoise color of tropical seas. Find it at the San Alfonso del Mar in Santiago.
Semi-Private Pools in India
In the game of Luxury, The Oberoi Udaivilas wins. Overlooking Lake Pichola, certain rooms offer access to the pool right out your back door. *Sigh* that’s the life.
The Heights of Bali

The Depths of China
Okay, so technically the Shimao Wonderland Intercontinental Hotel isn’t open yet, but we’re kinda sorta positive it’s going to be AMAZING. Built into the side of a 90-metre-deep, water-filled quarry the size of five football fields, the hotel opens later this year! Let the underground swimming commence!
A Royal Dip
Because not all pools need open air to take your breath away. The Corinthia Hotel in Budapest features a royal spa indoor pool fit for kings and queens!
