As the New Year approaches, we’re feeling inspired by all the wedding trends we’ve seen over the last twelve months and excited for all the new ones about to be born! The creative team behind this shoot wanted to emphasize some trends we know and love: neon brights, platform heels, micro minis, and bold accessories we’ve seen this season in fashion…. and truth be told, we don’t see these fads going anywhere! The premise behind the shoot and our mantra for all 2023 weddings: the bride throws the rule book out the window and is unapologetically herself! She doesn’t care too much for tradition but has impeccable taste. She creates her own floral arrangements and she’s making the finishing touches on her bouquet the morning of in her party pjs (her version of the typical “getting ready shot”). Oh HECK yes!
The photos captured by Josie Brooks Photography and the video (which you’ll see later!) showcase the team’s love for film: blurry, unedited, and that candid feeling. Event designer and planners at Woven and Revel planned a whimsical and fashion-forward environment at the Sydonie Mansion in Mount Dora, Florida adorned with beautiful florals designed by Bag Haus and the bride truly shined! Let’s see what this team conjured up!
All the Glitz and Glam
Forever and ever! From the bride’s dramatic veil to the bouquet details, we already know we’re in for a treat.
The bride’s Willowby Watters mini dress with bright platforms was the perfect look for this whimsical garden shoot!
With all the hundreds of veil options out there, it’s hard to settle on just one… am I right?! We’ve rounded up some of our favorite veil styles to give you all the inspo you’re looking for!
The Winding Tablescape
Woven and Revel created a winding tablescape with playful, inspired florals and rich linens. They wanted everything to feel effortless and not overly kept…Needlessly to say they DELIVERED!
The wrinkled tablescapes are intentional, complementing the bride’s unconcerned attitude. She did everything the way she wanted!
We love a pop of color and these bright Schutz platforms are GIVING!!
The Ultimate Send Off
The team played in the gardens of the historical grounds of the Sydonie Mansion and finished with a vintage convertible send-off and tied cans to the back of the bumper for a proper serenade!
Hold the phone… the drama this is giving is just TOO perfect!
Bridal sunglasses is one trend that is here to STAY! Truth be told, we never see these sunnies going out of style!
The Second Reception Look
Spruce up your tablescape with mismatched candlesticks, funky vases, acrylic pieces, and of course a ton of florals!
A location and outfit change was the perfect change of scenery! The bride looks like a princess as she frolics around the event grounds in this beautiful off-the-shoulder floral gown!
Bold, carefree, and oh so effortless… We can’t wait to see all the new wedding trends of 2023 – more on our trend outlook for 2023 weddings next week!
But mark our words: letting loose and creating a day that is so perfectly YOU is definitely the move for couples planning their weddings for the new year! There’s nothing better than making your own rules and creating a day you and your guests will never forget!
As always, THANK YOU to the talented group of vendors behind this inspiration for sharing your masterpiece with GWS!
