So first things first…it’s safe to say we’re OBSESSED with the bride’s wedding day dress because… GREEN!! (duh😉) It was both Jennifer and Tad’s second marriage and they knew the second time around they wanted their ceremony to be intimate and intentional. Hence, a micro-wedding including only the couple’s closest family and friends was the way to go! The two held their wedding at Big Delicious Planet, a catering company with a lush urban farm in Chicago that couldn’t have been more perfect for this big day! Amy Crum is going to have you swooning over her floral work during the reception dinner…Just you WAIT!!
And thankfully, Megan Saul captured every beautiful moment that we are SO ready to share with you! So let’s dive on into this now, shall we?
An Intimate Ceremony
The bride shares: “It was a second wedding for both of us. We wanted to celebrate with a small and intimate group of the people we loved most.”
Rejoice! These two are now married!!
The Picture Perfect Tablescape
Amy Crum’s designs created impressive floral installations on the pergolas above the long farm table and bar. Can we just all agree they’re absolutely breathtaking?!
Fun fact!! The groom posted an iPhone pic of the tablescape the following day on Reddit’s r/CozyPlaces and it quickly gained nearly 50k votes and over 450 comments! WOW! We are big fans as well so totally see how that happened :)
The bride bought the colorful CSAO plates, which made such a statement on the table.
Farm-to-Table Dinner
Adorable bespoke menus adorned each person’s plate!
The bride shares: “We loved Big Delicious Planet because I have a background in cooking and food and Tad loves to garden – it was a perfect fit for both of us.”
Big Delicious Planet also created this eloquent and floral-inspired wedding cake! How delicious!

The Happy Couple
Another fun fact! Tad is a jazz lover and the couple hired a wonderful local jazz band to play music throughout the wedding!
We loved that this bride went with color for her wedding gown! We asked the bride to share how she chose this green gown for her big day: “I love color and fashion and I wanted to find something celebratory, beautiful, and fun! I went to San Francisco to shop with my friends and I found this beautiful dress at McMullen in the Bay Area.”
The most memorable moment of the wedding day was being fully present, enjoying the beautiful meal, and the speeches from our dear family and friends. We truly soaked up the love and enjoyed the time together.
