A Blue Floral Dress For This Funky, Free-Spirited Desert Wedding In Joshua Tree

Music lovers Lexi + Jacob wanted their Joshua Tree wedding to be a party from start to finish.

The two tied the knot under the SoCal desert sun at a private estate that, with the help of event designers + planners from Ember & Stone Events, was filled with an unforgettably free-spirited festival feel.

One thing we absolutely love about his day? Lexi + Jacob used their wedding style to embrace the unique and unconventional. Lexi wore a fabulous flowy blue floral wedding gown, and Jacob went for a gold + white military-inspired jacket complete with epaulets and a dazzling tiger collar.

There were bright jewel-tone flowers and golden disco balls, and photographers from West Imagery were there every step of the way capturing the magic.

Lexi’s open back blue floral print wedding gown from Rue de Seine is dreamy, off-beat, desert wedding perfection. The TASSELS!

Jacob brought a fun + fantastical energy with the chains, buttons, coins, and trim of his unique white + gold Harmonia NY jacket.

Take a look through our lists of the best blue wedding dresses and our fave floral wedding dresses if the colorful, graphic vibes of Lexi’s wedding gown are lighting you up.

We adore a unique engagement ring!! Lexi’s hexagon-cut sparkler came from El Paseo Jewelers.

The wedding party’s sand tone suits from Men’s Warehouse were a perfect balance to Jacob’s exciting look.

This bridal crew highlighted every shade of blue in Lexi’s dress with this exquisite mismatched bridal party palette.

Decorative Indian wedding umbrellas were a clever + colorful way to keep guests shady.

Lexi + Jacob’s stunning desert ceremony felt otherworldly amidst the iconic Joshua tree landscape, and was officiated by Sarah McGovern (aka Highway Chyld).

“The couple wanted to do a sing-a-long with their guests after they completed their vows,” remembers planner Nicole of Ember & Stone Events. “It was such a fun elements of the day & the couple listed out the lyrics to the song on the back of the programs. One of the members of the wedding party grabbed their guitar & kicked off the singing.”

Mismatched rugs made for a beautifully boho aisle. Explore our collection of aisle decor ideas for more inspo!

Jacob’s geometric two-tone wedding band is unique! And Lexi’s delicate diamond wishbone ring pairs beautifully with her engagement ring.

Planner Nicole described these arrangements perfectly: “All the colors made lots of noise in the neutral Joshua Tree desert.” Grab some gold disco balls to recreate the sparkly party spirit of these bright + bold ceremony florals!

We LOVE that Lexi paired her flowy floral gown with some funky, pearly wedding boots!

The Reception

Lexi + Jacob’s floating vinyl reception seating chart embraced the spirit of the celebration with a clever Beatles reference and tables named after different deserts!

Light wood guest seating, blush linens, and twinkly string lights from Bright amplifited the outdoor reception’s sunset glow.

Archive decked the reception tabletops out with mini Moroccan lamps, brass candlesticks, and lots of bronze boho energy.

We love the tablescape’s tie-in to Lexi’s blue dress with these blue goblets and blue taper candles!

Also, have we mentioned how obsessed we are with Lexi’s textured braid by Hair By T1ff3nny?! That dreamy bridal crown!

The Desert After Dark

Of course these two had a super fun outfit change just in time to cut the cake! How cute is Lexi’s retro reception dress!

“Lexi + Jacob wanted to play into retro vintage vibes will with their dramatic cake,” says planner Nicole of this delicious creation from Joshua Tree Cakery. “It was a three tier piped & ribboned cake that created such a moment.”

We love when a couple picks a wedding cake just as colorful as they are!

Congratulations, Lexi + Jacob! Your unique, free-spirited wedding was totally unforgettable. Hope you had the best time dancing the desert night away with Supermoon DJs! All the best from GWS!
