I created this fun party for A Subtle Revelry last month and have been wanting to share it here also. A chic modern party with cake, champagne and cute shoes! I think this would be such a fun idea for a bridal shower or party for your girlfriends to say thanks after the wedding. :) Lots of easy DIY projects to create yourself too. I hope you enjoy it!
I designed this invite for the party and you can download the template here to use for your own party! I enlarged the botton area a bit and left it blank to include your own details. :) My favorite DIY project from this is the table with the sparkling ribbons. The tablecloth is a $10 white tablecloth that I bought from Bed, Bath and Beyond. I wanted to show how easy it would be to take a simple plain tablecloth (could even be one you already have) and turn it into something super modern + fresh. The lines are actually silver duct tape attached right to the tablecloth! I placed six stripes right along the center. It is really easy to create and has lots of impact for a low price – a roll of silver duct tape cost $3 (bought from Michaels).
The vases are mason jars from Michaels ($2 each) that I spray painted white. The flowers are different shades of ranunculus - one of my favorite flowers – and they are super affordable! By using the same type of flower in different shades it helps keep a modern look. I also added seed pods I found outside during a walk to each arrangement and spray painted it silver to give the flowers a bit of a pop and unexpectedness. :) Cans of Sofia make a perfect beverage.
This project above is super easy and would be fun to do with guests names or any other easy word. :) And any party where you have to wear fun shoes – count me in! :)
The cake is a variation of that fabulous rainbow cake we all saw online last year. I thought the different shades of pink and red would be a fun touch – and it’s such a wow moment when you first slice the cake!
The EAT sign was easy to make also. Just select your word and print it out large. I then taped it on a wood board and nailed the nails around the outlines. Next tie yarn or string from nail to nail and done! I think this would also look super cute with the word LOVE. :)
Hope that inspires some ideas for your bridal shower or maybe even wedding!
