What if a Gumball Machine Assigned Guest Seating?

This one’s for anyone who is so over muted, neutral tones!

This vibrant pink + green editorial was conceived, planned, and designed by Courtney Ethridge + Artfully Overjoyed. Together they led a talented team of St. Louis-based vendors and filled industrial space Willow with clever and colorful details to help us all imagine what it would be like if we traded in traditional all-white bridal looks for something short and pink and embraced more spontaneity on our wedding day!

Get ready to forget everything you know about reception seating charts and escort cards because this crew created a creative new way for guests to find their seats: numbered gumballs randomly assigned by the crank of a big pink gumball machine!!

So much bold color. So much elevated-yet-joyful energy!! All captured beautifully by Tammi Camp.

We’re so into it.

Artfully Overjoyed created this colorful + modern round invitation suite! Such a cute way to tease the subtle gumball theme of the shoot!

“The focal point, a pink gumball machine, served not only as a charming visual centerpiece but also as a unique way to assign tables,” says Courtney Ethridge on this clever guest seating innovation. “The incorporation of table numbers on the gumballs was a whimsical touch, ensuring a random seating arrangement that encouraged guests to interact and form connections.”

The “guests” at this shoot all wore whites and neutrals (like this super cute white waisted shirt dress maxi dress) so that the colorful design details of the day would POP. Their effortless hair and makeup looks were created by Julia Suingiu Beauty.
