If you follow us on Instagram, you may remember seeing a few glimpses at this year’s incredibly fun + inspiring Cream Event! Today we’re excited to share an epic two part recap, as well as a DIY for our popular flower wall, which was definitely the main focus of our booth this year!
The overall vibe for the 2014 Cream was Modern Folk – think Mexican tiles, kilim rugs, bougainvillea, and modern copper fixtures. And while some vendors had their own space or set-up, others paired with like-minded artists and created beautiful + inspiring shared vignettes. One of our faves of the night was the space created by Pow Wow Vintage Rentals + Honey and Poppies, which you’ll see in the photos below by onelove photography. I mean, how crazy good is that dip-dyed macrame installment? I think that’s going to be a highly recreated design element in many weddings to come..

Another great space was the one beautiful designed by Sitting in A Tree + Siren Floral Co. Would you ever have thought to use cast iron skillets as a design element?! We wouldn’t have, but it turned out to be a major fave.

Even the hallway from one room to another was gorgeously decked out with bougainvillea + pepperberry-clad chandeliers. Seriously, guys, inspiration overload! (In a good way, of course!)

PharmacieLA was there serving up a bevy of delish drinks! Each side of the square bar had a different menu + theme. So super rad!

And our recap would not be complete without a fun peek into the GWS booth! Katie Pritchard documented our pink, coral + copper space to perfection! We had TONS of interest in our flower wall (so fun to learn it was the most instagramed element of the night!) as well as our giant LOVE letters, crepe paper flowers + ombre dip-dyed backdrop. And don’t fret if you’re crushing on elements other than the flower wall. We’ll be serving up a slew of Cream-related DIYs, covering all the prettiness from our booth, this week + next!
Big thanks to: Flower Muse for providing all our gorgeous flowers, Carte Fini for providing the crepe paper used for the LOVE letters and the paper flowers on the fireplace, and Found Vintage Rentals + Borrowed Blu for providing our space with the gorgeous vintage pieces!
Our amazing wooden sign was thanks to the Little Cat Design Co. – I just love how it turned out!
Seriously love, love, love how the fresh flower wall turned out! Stay tuned for a DIY later today with tips on creating one of these for your next event!

And, of course, there were some incredible sweets to be had! Max & Friends shared these shots of Sweet and Saucy Shop’s beautiful display! Team GWS definitely indulged! :)

Loved that pretty tablescape by Borrowed Blu above! And how great is that gorge yarn installment below, captured by Annie McElwain? It was part of the Untamed Petals display and is a fun reception idea for sure.

Wow, I’ve never seen anything like this before. Very unique and creative. Excellent job!
As serious explosion of amazingness right here! This is my kind of drug :)
The folk element is very powerful and earthy, and the blooms so vibrant and alive in all the photos. Both worked very well together, plus I just loved the heavy emphasis on greens in many of the scenes. Very natural and cost effective way to design very large spaces. Great pics!
