When stars align… sometimes you just have those magical days (or nights), and you meet the one. You know? So, it’s kind of fun to pay homage to that night with a celestial-inspired theme, no?

Photographer, Alannah Liddell, shares a bit more about this dreamy elopement inspiration: The idea behind this styled shoot was stripping down a full wedding day too its bare bones, two lovers leaving the rat race behind to the beautiful town of New Norcia in Western Australia. New Norcia is only monastic town in Australia, and it set such a cool + quaint backdrop for the day.

Intimate Dinner for the Newlyweds

I chose a celestial theme because I personally have a massive fascination with outer space, I think both love and the cosmos have a lot in common, they are both wild, unpredictable and we really don’t know much about them at all and I think that, in and of itself, is a beautiful thing.

Twinkle lights, pampas grass, a stunning cake by The Cake and I that resembles the night sky, and midnight blue accents… how dreamy is this tablescape?!

My aim is to convince more brides in Australia to elope… and you can find hidden beauties within the country to do so! The only two people who matter on a wedding day are you and your partner, so why not make it just that? Just them, confessing their love in a unique place that will always have special meaning to them.
