These two Alaskans said buh-bye to the snow and took off on a year-long adventure traveling the world before their wedding. The climax of their sabbatical was their destination wedding at Amor Boutique Hotel and Don Pedros Palapa in Sayulita, Mexico – a small surf town just outside Puerto Vallarta. So naturally, Casey + Brian HAD to have their wedding there!
Their guests were welcomed with a customized swag bag and got to create “kandi” bracelets (a nod to the couple’s love for rave culture). Their day was full of vibrant color, a mariachi parade, and a stunning reception view overlooking the ocean. C & B even had a high-energy choreographed first dance – which Casey changed into an adorable 2nd dress for. To end the night, Casey surprised Brian with a fireworks show!
Cheers Babe Photo took all the magical photos below, and we cannot wait for you to see them!
His & Hers
Casey’s journey to finding her perfect Sarah Seven dress was a journey…but entirely worth it!
“I started my search in Anchorage and exhausted my options quickly. I had a clear vision of what I wanted my wedding dress to be and I stuck to my instincts, despite not finding what I wanted locally. I was fairly determined and had plenty of time so I broadened my search to other cities. I made one trip to San Francisco with my mom and hit five wedding dress shops in two days. Exhausting and not what I recommend! At the last appointment of the weekend, I found the dress. I knew it was the one as soon as I tried it on and never looked back!”
Groom Brian looked snazzy in his Exclusive Tailor suit adorned with a bright boutonniere!
First Looks
Isn’t this first look precious?! These two couldn’t look more in love!
“We made our wedding our own by weaving in our love for music and raves into every experience. The music was essential! Each event had a curated playlist we had worked on for months beforehand. All the music had meaning to us, and many of the songs brought back memories from our relationship.
We also incorporated kandi (hand beaded bracelets with custom phrases and words) as a fun nod to the rave culture we love so much. Guests could create their own unique kandi bracelets at our rehearsal dinner, and many guests rocked their kandi on our wedding day.”
The Bridal Party
Casey had her nearest and dearest on each side! These ladies look lovely in pink!

We love how this couple kept their bridal party extremely intimate!
The Gorgeous Venue
The couple’s inspiration for the entire day was the town of Sayulita! Sayulita is a vibrant, lively, and colorful town 45 minutes outside of Puerto Vallarta. C + B wanted to share the feeling the town gave them with their closest family and friends through a festive and tropical celebration. A grand fiesta underneath the palm trees!

A Celebration to Remember!
A mariachi band?! What an exit! These two really know how to go out with a bang!
We’ve got two! The first was a Mexican wedding tradition and a surprise for our guests. A stellar mariachi band erupted into joyful music the moment we kissed for the first time as husband and wife. The mariachi band then led the entire wedding in a callejoneada, a celebratory parade from the ceremony to our reception.
The second memorable moment was also a surprise but this time for the guests AND the groom. Right after our cake cutting, I led Brian out to the lawns of the venue and whispered to him how I had a surprise. He didn’t even have time to register before fireworks started exploding right in front of us in the night sky. All our guests gathered around and we cherished a few minutes of watching the Sayulita sky light up in color and light.
The Reception
Can we talk about this floral arch courtesy of Francisco Salazarcha?! Absolutely breathtaking!
Can we just take a moment to enjoy this view?! Seriously incredible!
Yazmin Gizeh was in charge of all planning duties…like ensuring the tablescape was picture perfect! By the looks of it…she nailed it!
The decor of our dreams! With all the vibrant colors, neon table signs, and welcoming decor, they really nailed the Sayulita aesthetic!
How’s this for a first dance?!
“We choreographed our first dance to the song we got engaged to; an electronic dance music custom mashup Brian edited himself.”
Include a close friend or family member in all the details of your wedding events so they can field questions from guests throughout the event. We had a phenomenal wedding planner, but it doesn’t hurt to have that right hand family member or friend in the loop to answer questions as well. And use local or freelance artists as much as possible!
Congrats to the happy couple! We wish you a lifetime of love, laughter, and more exotic travels!
