Vanilla and orange have always been a winning combination. Ever had a creamsicle? Yeah – they’re delicious! Not only do those flavors happen to be tasty, but they’re also quite visually stunning when put together. This was the inspiration used by wedding planner From Sophie With Love and event designer The Featherette.
The team imagined a wedding with a modern take on all the 70s had to offer, and the results were amazing! Loft Studio 14 C was the perfect venue to show off this amazing talent. Finally, photographer Lichttrunken was there to commemorate the visuals behind this memorable shoot.
Creamsicle Dreams
Blend the 70s with modern-day! Retro silver booties against modern arch wedding invitations are the perfect way to get the best of both worlds.
Bows are the perfect feminine touch to a wedding day look. This variation in a ponytail along with a romantic, dramatic gown makes for a look fit for a queen.
Disco fever! Take your seating chart up a notch with this fun and festive fringe version. You can customize the text to say whatever you’d like. Wanna put your new last name on there? Go for it! A creative pun? That’s perfect! Whatever you do, just make sure it’s you.
Fun With Fringe
Fringe was a staple of the 70s and one that can easily be used in your modern wedding. Here, the fun and funky style is not only in the chandeliers but also in cushions!
There’s no better example of how this color palette shines than in the stunning floral arrangements. Hochzeits Bouquetterie did an amazing job at creating textured, lively designs. Pillowy clouds of flowers along with an asymmetrical layering effect make for a stellar wedding table.
Don’t let the funky twists fool you. This is still a romantic and dreamy wedding! Perfectly scrunched white fabric and elevated cutlery create a sensual, airy vibe.
Skating Into Love
Isn’t this the cutest couple pose? For a fun activity to mix up your wedding – try skating with your honey! But if you don’t imagine this happening on your wedding day, how about your anniversary party instead?
What’s a wedding without cake? This peach-colored masterpiece by Sandra Smolen is sure to impress your guests. And did you notice it’s a mix of orange and white??? We love sticking to a theme!
For your lounge, a neon sign always does the trick! Retro tufted seating and shiny disco balls will transport you to the 70s in the twirl of a skate.
For the grand finale – orange smoke bombs! Keep things casual with a comfortable, oversized button-down, and let those booties do the talking. Want to really take things up a notch? A vintage car makes a great prop (and an even better getaway car!).
We hope you enjoyed this retro, creamsicle-inspired styled shoot! Thank you so much to the talented vendors that made this possible. If you’re looking for more retro wedding inspiration, we’re at your service!
