Who said what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas?? Logan and Sophie decided to go against the grain and have an EPIC micro-wedding inspired by 70’s style and Las Vegas vibes…in Australia!!!
When COVID derailed their original plans to host an 80-person wedding, they decided to embrace the nontraditional nature of their circumstances. They held their unique nuptials at The Altar Electric and hired Tahnee Jade Photography to catch every gorgeous moment. The result was a fabulous, festive, and uniquely personalized wedding of a lifetime. Let’s get into the details!
Style to Die For
These Steve Madden boots were the perfect on-theme shoe for this micro-wedding. Such a cool touch!
Instead of a white dress, the bride wore purple! Sophie was 7 months pregnant at the time of her wedding, and she wanted to do something out of the box to commemorate the occasion. This purple Zimmermann dress was the perfect statement dress!
Flowers, Flowers, and Flowers
Purple and vanilla-colored orchids were a huge part of the day! Bloom Boy truly brought Sophie’s vision to life in the form of flowers. While there was no bridal party in a literal sense, Sophie still loved the aesthetic of bridesmaids’ dresses from the 1960s and 70s. How cool is that!!!
The 70’s never looked so chic!
Logan looked cool and laid back for the big day. He even joked that he would be wearing jeans! This modern suit helped Logan stay true to his style and personality. The finishing touch to his look were his Cookie Monster socks. An homage to their precious son, who loves the character!
Bringing Vegas to Melbourne
This ceremony setup is one of the coolest we’ve seen! The disco balls, animal print, and funky florals bring Las Vegas chic to a whole new level. We’re obsessed!
Find the courage to be true and honest about who you are as a couple. This is your day, make it a reflection and celebration of YOU. Don't be scared to let your personality shine!
Their son, Eddie, was the guest of honor for the ceremony.
Now that the day has passed, we both agree that it was the ceremony. It is such a beautiful moment to pause and acknowledge each other, especially in an era where we barely have enough hours to sleep. However, we both strongly agree that The Alter Electric made it that much sweeter. It possessed the perfect balance of formality and informality to make us feel completely relaxed and give all of ourselves to the moment.
Bring on the confetti! You’re married now!
Lounging It Out
Logan and Sophie topped the celebration off with a luxe evening at Mya Tiger. Their Green room was already decorated perfectly to fit their eclectic theme.
Similar to the vintage thought process of her flowers, for as long as she can remember, Sophie has always wanted a vintage bride and groom cake topper on her wedding cake. Both Logan and Sophie are very fond of their grandparents and found comfort in knowing that they, too, had a similar cake topper to what their grandparents had when they wed.
Congratulations to Sophie and Logan! We can’t wait to see what unique ideas you come up with (with that beautiful family of yours!) in the future.
