Let’s talk about wedding spectrums. On one end, there’s your average, semi-formal wedding, with approximately 200 guests. On the other end, there are casual elopements, with 3-4 guests, including the couple getting married…And now we have micro weddings!
What is a Micro Wedding?
These celebrations are closer to elopements on the wedding spectrum, but still include a handful of actual guests. Think your closest family and friends – approximately 20-50 guests. These weddings are shorter in duration and have a simple + relaxed format.
This fresh wedding alternative gives couples more ease in planning, and allows them to allocate the money in their budgets to intimate + authentic guest experiences. You can really spoil yourselves and your guests the way that you want to with this sweet + manageable celebration.
Curious what a micro wedding looks like? I love micro weddings! And these are amazing photos! Thanks for sharing!
Hello,
This is a great idea for many couples who want something more discreet, but as we have seen we can maintain a great style and finesse, I loved the material and I see it as a trend for the whole world, including the Brazil where we are from, for a wedding big requires a lot of investment and several ideas and preparations, I love this wedding format.
Love the small weddings, this set is really pretty ;-)
And 2020 is proving that micro weddings are the only way to go ;)
Wow, an elopement venue! Micro weddings should be the new normal trend indeed. Why make a fuss with a bucket load of people while only the nearest ones are needed for witnessing the ceremony and be a part of blessing the bride and groom. The others are always excess baggage to attend to their tantrums and to keep them happy.
This wedding is a dream! Every little detail captured by this photographer really enhances the magic inside of this wedding!
Great advice, Jen! I love officiating ceremonies on the entire spectrum – from elopements to traditional weddings, but micro weddings are something special! My favorite advice – “Micro weddings mean more bang for your buck in every way”. Splurging on all the details to create truly spectacular pictures is what I love most about this post. Some couples opt out of videography because of the cost, but with the video you posted here, how can you resist? -Officiant Mindy Haffke
