Who’s down to boogie!? Braydon and Megan sure are! To celebrate their one-year anniversary, these two knew nothing would be more fun and celebratory than a 70s Disco. The team behind Better To Gather totally caught their drift, and delivered a disco to remember as a result!
As COVID has impacted many couples’ weddings, it won’t come as a shock to learn that Megan and Braydon’s original wedding plans didn’t pan out. But why not turn lemons into lemonade? Their reception-only wedding had everything. Sparkly jumpsuits, disco balls, and sparkle everywhere! The event was SUPER groovy, and with photos by Font & Figure – these memories will last a lifetime!
Get Your Hot Pants On
The Pub Station, a former bus depot set the stage for their absolutely radical day. It was retro, unique, and exactly what their anniversary needed!
THIS. IS. A. LOOK. Need we say more? The sparkly jumpsuit is by Tarik Ediz and we are in LOVE.
Megan wore the cutest custom mini veil with “Hot Pants’ etched in pearls.
It’s clear that Braydon understood the assignment. The colors, patterns, and *tasteful* chest hair are 70s perfection.

Disco Fever
It’s not the 70s without a little leather. This dream vendor team crafted a unique layout for a lounge area that included holographic streamer curtains, a super unique tent, and of course, a disco ball!
A special pampas grass installation gave the setting a modern-day twist.
We’ll take a Harvey Wallbanger to accompany these vibes, please!
Groovy Love
Trendy terracotta helped mix in both new and retro vibes in the form of this stellar cake from Sweets by Sam.
Bust a move!
B and I had a moment in the middle of the night where we looked around the room and soaked in being surrounded by our closest family and friends, all dressed in their 70s best, celebrating love in a time that we were all so isolated from other human connection. It was a beautiful moment we both have held on to. We also really enjoyed learning and performing/teaching “The Hustle” to our party guests 🕺🏽
Our advice is to LIVE IT UP! The night goes fast and the memories are fleeting. Drink the drinks, eat the cake, dance the dance. Enjoy the night for what it is and don’t sweat all the small stuff— no one knows any different anyways.
At the end of the night, Megan grabbed a microphone from the DJ & thanked her guests, remarking “this was the BEST night of my life!”
Congrats, Braydon and Megan! What an amazing party! We wish you endless boogie-down events to come!
