“We have always known that we wanted to get married in the desert,” say newlyweds Faiza + Imran. “It’s just so us.”
With tons of happy poolside memories together in Palm Springs, Faiza + Iman knew the sunny SoCal city was the perfect spot to tie the knot. The La Quinta Resort & Club, with its mission-style architecture and towering palm trees, provided the perfect backdrop for what would prove to be a fun yet elegant wedding full of neutral tones and timeless touches.
Event designer Aubrey Huffman, owner of wedding planning firm Details Darling, brought all sorts of white and light-colored wow moments to life, and photographer Katie Edwards caught all the classy magic of this desert celebration!

This STUNNING bright white monochrome bouquet (and all of the day’s dreamy neutral florals) are by Third + Park.

Love this muted-yet-colorful bridal party palette! Such a fun and gentle juxtaposition to the whites and off-whites in the rest of the wedding. Our guide to summer bridesmaid dress options has lots of pretty pastels if you’re feeling this vibe.
The Ceremony

Anybody out there who considers themselves a part of Bachelor Nation might recognize this stunning venue from Claire/Tayshia’s season of The Bachelorette.

The lighter tones of the wedding’s florals and decor add elegance while simultaneously highlighting the beautiful Palm Springs scenery.

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding Faiza: It's so hard to pick one. I had to pick two! First, cheating at rock paper scissors so that I was able to read my vows first! And second, when our sax player was ripping it on the dance floor during reception. He was incredible!
Imran: I would have to say our first look. There was so much anticipation going into it, and I was so excited to see her. Seeing her in her dress for the first time was when it all hit me.

Imran’s super-classy white jacket tux is from JB Clothiers. Take a look at this similar look if you can’t get enough of this elegant vibe.

Faiza didn’t have a clear picture of what her bridal style would be when she started looking for a dress. She knew that it would be good to have something light and airy in the Palm Springs heat and that a strapless fitted bodice was probably in the cards. Gowns with some feminine flair started catching her eye, and she finally found THE one at En Blanc in Santa Monica when she tried on this embellished lace and tulle beauty from designer Liz Martinez.

Dolled Up By Lulu was behind Faiza’s beautiful low bun and glam makeup look.

Our Advice To Those Planning Now ENJOY IT! It goes by way too fast. Although it can be stressful, it’s going to fly by! Also, make mini milestones along the way and celebrate them to make the process fun! Securing your wedding venue, dress, marriage license etc can all be made into fun moments.

The Reception

Okay, just take a second to let this cute and quirky cocktail hour option sink in…

Guests rang the bell, and a hand offering them a glass of champagne appeared!!

SO FUN!! Also, snag this set of ribbed champagne coupes from Amazon if you’re in love with the modern-meets-deco aesthetic of this glassware.

All the textured, design-forward, desert-inspired signage and paper goods were the work of the geniuses at Wildhouse Ink.

A final thought from the bride + groom: “Your wedding day is by far the biggest party you will ever throw in your life, so make sure you’re picking things that you will love forever! Make it your own, and make time for just the two of you on your special day. We wish we could re-live it already!”

So happy for you, Faiza + Imran! This chic and timeless wedding day in the desert was a neutral-tone dream! All the very best from GWS!
