Ngoc and Samuel’s celebration was all about embracing a childlike sense of wonder and creating a wedding day that reflected them. From the playful pastel color palette to the wild sculptural floral arrangements, their wedding oozed joy at every turn. And isn’t that the whole point?!
With whimsical touches dreamed up by The F Lab and the beautiful Ho Chi Minh City as a backdrop, this destination celebration is a masterclass in modern romance. We’re sharing all the dreamy details that made it so unique, as captured by photographer De Rossa Studio!

The bride wore not one but two stunning lace wedding gowns. “I had thought it would take days to find the right dress as I considered myself very picky. But after trying only 2-3 dresses at the very first boutique, I found ‘the one’. My dress for the vows ceremony was a custom-designed dress from Lecia Bridal, a Vietnamese designer. My reception dress was the one from Wona Concept, distributed by Brides by Olivia. The big smile I had when I saw myself in the mirror was a tell-tale sign,” shares Ngoc.
She paired her ceremony gown with a delicate lace-trimmed wedding veil for a romantic finishing touch.

Samuel kept his look classic with a custom black wedding suit and leather dress shoes. “The groom got his suit made at a low-key local Vietnamese tailor who also did my brother-in-law’s wedding suit 10 years ago. She got them done in 3 days,” says Ngoc. “She did such a wonderful job that all the groomsmen went to the same tailor for theirs 5 days before the wedding. The poor woman had a stressful week.”
The First Look
Before the ceremony, the couple had a private moment together surrounded by a garden of lush, whimsical wildflowers. So romantic!
“We met at a mutual friend’s house party in 2018. The apartment was really crowded and I was trying to find a place to sit down. The couch was already full of people but Sam scooted all the way to the side to leave some space and waved at me to sit down next to him. Because the seat was already tight, we were squished together,” shares Ngoc.
“As it was getting late, people started leaving the party and eventually it was just the two of us left. The homeowner (who is our mutual friend) just decided to go to bed and let us stay at his place because our houses were really far away. We talked non-stop from midnight til morning and went to breakfast with barely any sleep. It was sort of a love-at-first-sight situation.”

The Ceremony
Ngoc and Samuel ditched the rulebook for their wedding ceremony, and the result was straight out of a bright, floral-infused daydream.
From the funky circular seating to the fluttery floral arrangements, event designer Cát Hoa dreamed up a design that was fresh, playful, and entirely its own.

The Reception
For their reception, Ngoc and Samuel transformed the JW Marriott Hotel & Suites Saigon into the modern, color-soaked garden party of their dreams.
Loving the juxtaposition of the luxurious drapery with the overgrown wildflowers. The entire space had a unique, dreamlike effect that oozed romance.
Another detail that stood out: the playful green ruffles accenting everything from the entryway to the signage. Because who doesn’t love a unique seating chart?!
And it wouldn’t be Ngoc and Samuel’s celebration without a few personal touches, including an homage to their fur baby. “We’re both crazy about our cat Lebron. He’s an indispensable little member of our trio and our lives,” says Ngoc. “Since he couldn’t fly halfway around the world to make it to the wedding, we wanted to honor him with a giant cat statue, an adorable cat money box, and his oversized cut-outs.”
“We always love a little laughter and a little unseriousness in our lives. The F Lab team had perfectly conveyed that side of us through all the thoughtful and whimsical touches. I could never have asked for a better team,” says Ngoc.
Our Favorite Memory
Hard one because we could list 50. Probably when everyone danced so hard the stage was rocking and threatened to collapse! 5 months later and everyone still talked about how much of a blast they had. Some claimed it was the first EDM rave they went to!
