An Exclusive Look at Devyn Simone’s Timelessly Elegant Rooftop Wedding!!

We all know Devyn Simone from reality faves like The Real World: Brooklyn, The Challenge, Love at First Swipe, and from the new Roku show Match Me In Miami that follows her work finding her clients love as a matchmaker.

But today we’re giving you an exclusive look at the dating expert, reality star and TV host’s very own real life love story!! Devyn and her fiancé Adam Lock just tied the knot in a modern-yet-timeless monochrome summertime rooftop wedding in Devyn’s hometown of Kansas City, and we are OBSESSED.

Devyn and Adam first met on a dating app back in 2017—that first date didn’t really lead to a second date right away, but years later they reconnected and found out that they were totally meant for each other!! With the help of Events by Elle and Be Inspired, the couple put together a glamorous black-and-white wedding day at Corrigan Station full of pops of purple, friends and family from all over the world, and TONS of love.

And fans of What Not To Wear and The Chew will be totally starstruck, cause Clinton Kelly officiated!!

Photographer Hunter Hennes was there the whole way taking these gorgeous photos, and we’re so excited to give you a peek!

How stunning is are these embossed invites by The Letterist?! Totally set the tone for this elegant event.

And WOW, that ring!! Both rings are by designer Melanie Casey. And a fun fact about Devyn’s engagement ring? It’s a custom piece that features an A, D, and L (their initials in Morris code via diamonds) hidden around the center stone. Love that!!

Take a look at our list of the best oval engagement rings if you’re loving the shape of Devyn’s sparkler ✨

Devyn added some whimsy to her wedding day look with these super cute butterfly heels from Aquazzura.

Devyn found her her show-stopping strapless Maria Farbinni gown at LBR Bridal. “Something about the delicate appliques and the way it twinkled in the light really spoke to me,” Devyn says. “It was also surprisingly comfortable!”

Devyn + Adam’s pup Brooklyn looked adorable in his very own tux! Check out some creative ways to include your dog in your wedding day.

Is there anything more elegant than a bridal party dressed in all-black?? Loving these high halter neckline gowns from Jenny Yoo that these ladies found through Bella Bridesmaids. Take a look through our collection of 36 of the best black bridesmaid dresses.

The groomsmen wore matching looks from Generation Tux that coordinated with Adam’s custom tux from Michael Andrews Bespoke.

LOVE that Adam and all his guys are are rocking white Jordans!!

Devyn’s classic low bun was the work of Hello Lovely, and her smokey glam makeup look was done by Shelice Makeup Artistry.

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

From Devyn: The most memorable portion was in between the ceremony and reception. Adam and I had some alone time before our grand entrance into the reception and we just sat eating some snacks talking about the day so far - just us two. We both were so happy that we felt like we got to spend so much of the entire day together- we got to experience it all together and really take it all in. We are just so grateful for that moment, getting to share that celebration with our loved ones, and grateful that we get to share life together. It was perfect.

The Reception

Devyn + Adam’s cocktail hour featured napkins with trivia questions about them as a couple!

YellowBrick Graphics created this clever love lock seating chart! We love the idea of welcoming guests to the reception with a personalized favor. These are some of our fave unique wedding seating charts.

Follow Devyn + Adam’s lead by grabbing your own set of engraved heart-shaped locks.

Brancatos Catering outfitted the celebration with three signature cocktails and a super delicious dinner.

The custom menus (individually created for each guest!) were also by The Letterist.

Supply Events helped bring these modern-yet-timeless black-and-white reception tables to life.

Loving the view!! And that gold guest seating.

Our Advice To Those Planning Now

From Devyn: Go easy on yourself. Give yourself grace. There’s a lot that goes on when planning, and inevitably there will be curveballs beyond your control. I naively thought I’d be completely done planning two months before our wedding. Ha! That didn’t happen. Get a good team around you. You don’t know what you don’t know so find some experts you trust and lean on them. I don’t know where I’d be without Clara and Leila with Be Inspired, Our wedding planner Michelle from Events by Elle. At one point I was talking to each of these ladies on a daily basis about everything from wedding plans to reality tv. They were my saving grace and really brought my vision to life. I’m forever grateful for them and our whole vendor team.

Also, having a supportive partner really helps. They say a wedding is just a surprise party for the groom, and while that partially may be true, ha, Adam was great with fulfilling any wedding task that I ask. Even the seating chart! Don’t be afraid to share the work with your partner. You are a team after all and it’s a day for the two of you.

Also, I highly recommend having a Welcome Dinner if several of your guests are coming in from out of town. It can be awkward to attend a wedding where you only know the couple of a handful of people. Having a Welcome Dinner allows guests to connect beforehand so that by day two they feel comfortable with everyone and have no worries about letting loose and having fun on the dance floor.

Also hire a social media content creator if you can. It was some of the best money we spent! Vanessa at DearDiarySocial was able to capture so many elements of the day- I’m able to relive it over and over. I also get to see things we missed - like guests playing our Jenga game or some of the dance moves on the floor. She also was able to send the footage the same week. To think that at one point I thought I could manage that myself or ask a friend to do it is wild.

We spy some romantic string lights! Le Luci added special lighting moment to the celebration.

How fun is the purple floral dance floor from Icon Event Group!! Devyn + Adam’s favorite color is purple, and they designed the evening so that guests would notice more and more purple throughout the event. It started with just a few purple flowers in Devyn’s bouquet at the beginning and by the reception there were pops of purple everywhere!

SO in love with Devyn’s sparkly, sheer structured bodice reception dress from KYHA!! She picked an Australian designer as a nod to her Australian groom!

Rebekah Lynn Studio was there live painting the night. And guests even got to help paint!

How do you even cut into a cake this breathtaking?! Vanilla Bean Bakeshop created this architectural masterpiece of a dessert.

We love a wedding day video and this video by Her Third Eye gives the perfect glimpse into their magical wedding day! Take a look below…

Congratulations, Devyn + Adam, on this STUNNING rooftop celebration!! So happy for you both! All the best from GWS!
